So what bothers you at WDW that may not bother anyone else???

What really makes me mad is the know it all who always seems to be in front of me in a queue. They know everything about the ride, when it was built, what it was made of, how tall/long/fast it is, how many people get on at the same time. And will make sure everyone is fully educated before going on the ride. Stop trying to look clever nobody cares!!

At rope drop at EP, AK and DHS it seems that we always get stuck behind the party who's magic bands / tickets don't work at the reader.

EDIT: BEHIND the party (not BEING the party).

I don't like it when adults get mad at and yell at their very young children when it is hot and they are obviously tired and frustrated with having waited in line in the heat and it is clearly nap time. I totally understand that a vacation to WDW is expensive and people want to get their money's worth out of the trip but making your child miserable is the not the way to do it. There is a difference between a child misbehaving and a child being pushed beyond what they are capable of being able to handle. I've seem parents yell at their very young children because they have to use the bathroom at an in opportune time - like after waiting in like for 90 minutes, shaming and treating a 4 year old like a discipline problem because she has to use the bathroom is just mean. And yes, I have children. When they start to get tired and cranky, it's time for a nap.

I also get frustrated when larger groups walk side by side at a slow pace so that no one can get around them. It makes me feel rude because I walk faster than they do and 9 times out of 10 no one hears us politely say "Excuse me" to indicate that we would like to pass. So we are then either left stuck behind them or them we have to shimmy our way around them to which we are usually given a glance as if we are the ones who have behaved inappropriately, even though we again say "Excuse me" because rarely can you do this without touching someone in the process. On the other hand, I will point out that because of different cultural norms with body space issues, it also drives me crazy when we are walking along at a good pace (not side by side) and are shoved to the side by a foreign tourists who is trying to get somewhere faster than we are we.

I also don't like it when people complain about perfectly fine service or food in sit down restaurants at the theme parks as if they are visiting royalty. But I can't stand this anywhere. I see this MOST commonly at restaurants but I also see CMs treated badly for perfectly fine service elsewhere. In general we have become a society of elitist complainers. If there is a true problem you can kindly and quietly point out the issue to your server or the CM and they will happily take care of it for you. There is no reason to be rude, loud, and make a big deal about it - everyone makes mistakes. Personally I believe you can tell a lot about a person's true character by how he or she treats those who are in the position of "serving" them.

Biggest pet peeve - the number of people who refuse to flush the toilet in the bathroom. It is to the point that I now rarely walk into a stall the first or even second time to find a toilet that is not full of an unwelcome sight. Yes, the toilets are supposed to flush by themselves. No, they very often don't. If they don't. If they don't, depending on the toilet you can either wave you hand in front of the motion sensor and it will flush, or you can take a small piece of TO and push the small button and make it flush. Sometimes you have to do the same to the motion sensor toilets. Sadly, I have found that the women who used to always be in the bathrooms constantly to clean the stalls and wipe down counters and now literally walking up and down the stalls doing nothing but flushing the toilets. The next time WDW increases their ticket prices keep in mind they now have to employ full time toilet flushers for every bathroom.

Can I add a pet peeve about Dis? Does that count?

People who open a thread with such generic titles that you have to read it to see if the topic is of interest to you. I don't read everything on here, as I don't have kids I usually skip all the kid-related threads. The threads called: 'Help needed', 'What would you do?', 'I just don't know', they just annoy me. As there are so many threads on this board, I understand people don't always find what they are looking for using the search option, and rather open a new thread, but please be clear what you are looking for in your title.

Thread #1000 called 'FP question' is debatable as it does have the subject. I am still waiting/hoping they open a separate sub-board for all FP related questions or make Mesaboy's thread a sticky.

These posts are HILARIOUS!!!:jumping1:

OK, I got one for the buses, too! So I'm a guy and I only have two sons. We're Southern, so if we're sitting on the bus and a lady is standing, we would offer our seats. That's the polite thing to so. So the pet peeve that I have is when I see men sitting while ladies stand. I would try to make up excuses in my mind like 'Perhaps the guy is injured' or 'He may feel like he would pass out if he stands' or something. But I have been on buses where old ladies would stand while grown men sits. I mean, Yikes! But maybe people weren't taught that or womens' lib requires them to stand. I don't know...

I've always believed in this also, but my husband has MS, and standing and balance are challenges enough for him, let alone on a moving bus. I know it KILLS him to sit while others are standing. I try to keep this in mind when the bus has to wait when it seems like forever for people with wheelchairs and scooters to load and unload-someday it could be our family holding everyone up. I agree there are people out there who are just plain not polite and/or abusing the system...but there are people out there with legitimate issues. I guess that is my WDW pet peeve-people who aren't polite and/or abuse the system.

Yes! The other subjects that annoy me are the "click bait" type "I can't believe this happened to me!" or only a partial subject like "The best restaurant in the MK is ...". UGH :badpc: THank goodness we can "hover" over the thread title and get a preview.

One thing that bothers me is people who are taking pictures of others in their party and expect the hordes of people to stop while they take a picture.

How do I put this? I'll just say that there are some people walking around WDW that wear clothes that would be better suited to someone at least half their age. Some of these images are not pleasant at all and some are entirely not appropriate for a family oriented destination like WDW.

That reminds me, I have seen quite a few t-shirts on teens and adults at WDW that are titled with obnoxiously smug writing. What happened to being humble?

Yeah, all those kids, and adults, walking with their face buried in their phones. I'm 6'2 and a solid 210 lbs. I see them coming, and depending on my mood, I'll make sure they either just graze me or I let them hit me straight on. I also sometimes shout "look up!" right before and watch them practically dive out of the way.

Oh, and those tour groups that like to plow through everyone? Yeah, I'm like Moses parting the Red Sea through those groups.

OK these may only irritate me but here goes:
Autograph books - they take so long especially when some families have 5 or 6.

Backpacks- when the person wearing it has no spacial awareness and turn round with no warning as the bag is at a child's head height

Double strollers- on the bus when the family put the seat against them and the dirty wheels against your body/clothes.

Standing on buses doesn't bother me at all and I don't expect anyone to give me a seat but I appreciated it when my daughter was younger and couldn't reach the hand rails.

STOP RECORDING everything my god how many cameras are now on everything...Celebrate the Magic, Wishes, rides just everything doesn't need to be recorded by you...look it up on YouTube no one wants to watch the show fireworks through your awful video footage.

I personally hate that so much it really ruins some of the magic watching so many damn cell phones go up at these events. It takes you out of the element having to watch the twilight zone guy with a big iPad in front of it it's annoying and NO ONE wants to see your footage.

Well, since women are equal to men, I don't have a problem with them standing. For me it's age; I will certainly offer my seat to a senior citizen, regardless of gender.

I am not some crazy tree hugger, organic everything etc....but...I can't stand the amount of waste Created by the magic band packages and all the disposable paper goods. Pepper mkt does real plates and I think some others could too. Obviously not practical everywhere...

I'm not sure why getting a table for me and my family ahead of time is a bad thing? Not all of us need to stand in line. Some of us have children or elderly or family members who have a disability who need to be seated. In a chair and a table.

I've always Been the table hunter while husband gathers the food.

This is the silliest pet peeve on here. I'm laughing so hard.

So, how hard is so hard in respect to laughing? Just curious...

Mine is not just for Disney but anywhere really. If I'm in a line, waiting for food, or whatever, and someone needs to cross the lines path to get where they're going, I HATE that they always cut between me and whomever is in front of me. This is my own personal curse, doesn't matter when, where or how. I have had friends and family even comment on the occurrence on more than one occasion. Sure they say excuse me, but I just can't stand it.

I like others, don't really mind the lines, I just talk to the people I'm with and am thankful for the shade.
