I know, I know, there are a million threads like this, the lines are 5 hours long, if I don't have FP+ then forget it, stampedes, blah, blah, blah! But, who has done it? How bad was it? Is it doable at RD on an EMH day? What's the real scoop?
And, before you all "bash" me (and I mean that in the nicest way), I am a HUGE planner. Huge! We leave in 5 days, and I did all of my FP+ at exactly the 60 day mark and all that! BUT, and I realize it's a big but, my kids had never even seen Frozen 60 days ago. We *gasp* never got to see it in the theater because we had a baby when it came out. I have 7 and 5 year old BOYS, a newly 2 year old girl, and a 4 month old boy. Not exactly the princess market, and i didn't even try to secure a FP+. Well, wouldn't you know, Frozen fever has struck our house too! The boys love it and want to talk to Anna and Elsa, and DD is smitten! There is no conversation to be had in this house that does not involve the fact that Frozen is her very favorite movie. Even if we are talking about putting her shoes on. Even if we are naming our new chicks (as in chickens that hatched this week...who are now, incidentally named Anna and Elsa). Even if she had never watched a movie in her life before this. They are all obsessed!
So, we are NOT waiting in 5 hour lines type of people! If they were still in Norway, we would walk by, wave, and call it good. But they are in FTPH, so we can't do that. We are early risers and always make RD anyway, especially if there are EMH. I don't mind "running" to the line, but I'm not stampeding anyone, and I'm not doing that just to find an hours long line once I get there. So, again, what's the real scoop? If DH runs at RD on an EMH day, what are we looking at for lines? I've told the kids we likely aren't going to get to see them, but if it's somewhat reasonable, I really am willing to give it a try.
