So, the truth: How bad is A&E?

I remember seeing them at Epcot about a month before the movie opened....

The line was an hour wait then.........

I did the same thing. Mid-November the wait was about 45 minutes in the late afternoon.

I saw them again in Norway in mid-January and waited 2 1/2 hours (they started meeting at 11am back then ) and I got there are RD and didn't have to run, and was the 18th family in the line and got in the first set. This was before the Arkeshus and stampede really heated up.

I saw them again this past Easter Sunday, their first day in MK. I had a FP+ for 9:15 and got to see them with barely any wait at all. However, castmembers in the front of the park (who told me because my daughter was dressed as Anna) that the wait for them was 3 hours. This was at 9am and the park opened at 8am for hotel guests. However, the line was very orderly outside and well within the queue with no mess in Fantasyland. There were a ton of CMs all around the area keeping things smooth. I was told by a guest in line that although the time posted was 3 hours, he only waited an hour and a half.

I have FP+ for a few other times this month (we are APs and I have a Frozen obsessed daughter) so I can report back with more info and pics from my own experiences.

Pack breakfast....get to MK by 6:45am on an EMH day that opens at 8....and by get there I mean get your butts parked at the MK entrance. Open up OJ and muffins and whatever while you wait for the 'doors' to open. Walk FAST, know the route, map out the fastest way to them and cross fingers :)

EEEEKKKKK

How does one get to the FP+ return?:scared1::scared1:

How will you get around FL especially after the 7DMT opens?

Double EEEEKKKKKK!!!!!

That doesn't look even remotely magical.

Everyone grab your popcorn when the mine train opens! popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

I'll take rope drop for Carsland thank you very much! :p

Right? I can't even imagine what that area is going to look like with the Mine Train open and Anna & Elsa. I know I'd be headed ANYWHERE but there at RD. Too crazy for me!

Good luck to anyone headed into that mess!!!

Personally if I was going to try for a rope drop I would go for a NON EMH day. Several websites suggest going to a different park when MK has EMH because of the early crowds. Most of the threads I have seen on this topic have been around EMH days so not sure if other days would be better.

This will not work, because being first at the tap stiles does not mean you'll also be first into the park, because of the way they let people into the front area well ahead of park opening and have another rope drop after the welcome show. Plus they won't let stragglers join earlier arrives in line, so getting there ahead of your party won't help, either. PLUS they've HS different routes open every day we've seen, so you don't quite know which way to go. And it's bedlam up there at park opening and before.

What if you got an 8 am breakfast reservation and just skipped it and paid the penalty? Would that possibly give you an advantage? Paying the money wouldn't be awesome, but it would be better than fighting those crowds? :crowded:

Either way, good luck!

I would love to see what now fast the early morning CP ADRs have been going over the past week.
