I vaguely remember a tidier house;) And I even remember a time when ALL the laundrey was folded and put away, ALL the time. Other than that my life has not been impacted by the hours spent Dis'ing ;)

I read the UG over, and over, and over again:earsboy:

Actually, I would play our poker machine in the basement ALL the time and til all hours of the am!!!!

There was a time before the Dis????? Thank God for short term memory.

I never actually realized how addictive it was until his past Thursday. I came in here at 10 AM. Went to the debate board. My husband came home early around 2:30, and I was still sitting here, typing away. AND I had a hard time tearing myself away.

I have not been like that since the late 90s when I chatted all the time.

And I have also wasted many an hour playing Nintendo games, specifically Zelda.

That's why I am always at a loss when you take those quizes and they ask what you do when you are bored. Who has time to be bored?

The boards are SO much more than just Disney!! I've used the UK boards to get first-hand information on DD and DS school projects; gotten advice from our Northern DSers on ski resorts in Maine....you name it!
What I did before DIS was surf websites for data (usually a waste of time) and planned for WDW by reading the Birnbaums book cover to cover 20 times!

I really appreciate all the good information (and gossip!) on the board. Plus a VERY special Kudo to the folks that keep this website so clean and relevant. THANKS:wave: for keeping all the trash off! You should be proud. So many other sites such as this are full of web busters and people that just talk nonsense!!

WDW on June 24::yes:: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

First, I found LaughingPlace.com. These boards were mentioned there in passing and I was curious about them but never thought to ask. Then one day, we had a thread posting our favourite websites. The webmaster gave this address and I thought "aha" and quickly came here. I loved the atmosphere.

Before LaughingPlace.com I led a quiet life. I never had the chance to talk or read whenever I wanted. I played piano more and I did cross-stitching and rug-hooking.

I've been corresponding on the computer for many, many years. Started on local BBS's back in the late 80's. Then Prodigy classic, then Prodigy internet. Actually the DIS reminds me most of the old Prodigy classic where there were sub-boards and everyone found their niche. Must be why I'm so comfortable here.

I used to read a lot of books.

I still read but now I read mainly the DISboard........still reading just a different form. :p

I for one, lived penniless and homeless in a dark dank gutter, completely deprived of my Disney fix.

Don't remember....probably housework. Dh has mentioned something about a messier house in the past several years.

Watched TV in my recliner, usually falling asleep by 10, a magazine or book on my lap. Now I get to talk with people around the world.

Mary, those early days of Prodigy and Compuserve bring back memories, seems like a lifetime ago.

Oh play computer games & do the housework that doesn't get done as often anymore;)

Finding the Dis has saved me money! I used to spend alot of time bidding on Ebay. The Disboards are more fun!

Well I used to spend a lot of time in an interfaith chat room debating/discussing religion, etc. But thanks to the debate board, I can still get my fix there :earseek:

I always spent time on the computer on AIM and now I DIS and AIM at the same time...so nothing is really different...I just am on AIM more....so I can be on the boards more because I am TOTALLY addicted!!

I was in college when I first found the DIS... so I studied

I used to spend time on Pogo and other free game sites but that seems like a L-O-N-G time ago. DH says a better question would be what don't I do when I'm on the DIS! LOL! Annmarie
