We left from BDL on 6/28 7:45 am flight. BDL was crazy!!! The line to get through security was packed but it moved along. Our flight took off a little late but Delta made up time in the air, we still made it to MCO on schedule. Magical Express was great, got a bus very quickly and got to our resort, POR. We got there around 11:30ish, checked in, our room wasn't ready yet, which was fine since we packed carry on bags with our bathing suits. We had lunch in the food court and got our mugs, then hung out by the pool. Our room was ready about 2:30 and our luggage was there waiting for us! Great service!!!:goodvibes

We hung out by the pool a little longer and got ready for our POS at Chef Mickey's for 5:20. It was a great time to go, we beat all the craziness, the restaurant was calm and quiet just until we were leaving and then it got busy!!
The characters were great, got pics with them all and our kids! Our waiter was excellent, cleared plates very quickly, refilled drinks as soon as we took a last sip. The food was good, their soup of the day was creamy chicken chowder, very delicious. Gotta love the sundae bar and all the yummy desserts too! We have been to Chef Mickey's before and we still love it, great night and dinner to start off our trip!;)

Day 2
We headed to Typhoon lagoon. Had a fun day on the slides and the wave pool. Love lazy river!:rotfl:
We had POS at Mickey's Barbecue. We went back to the resort to get ready. Took a little while to get to Fort Wilderness, a bus to Downtown Disney, then to Fort, then an internal bus to Outdoor Pavilion.
The food was good. We loved the salad, corn bread and the chicken was delicious!! They were standing at the entry way with trays of drinks, lemonade, beer, wine as we were walking in. The beer was good and cold. We didn't have a table right by the dance floor but that didn't matter. After we ate we were on our feet where the action is, got pics with our kids with the characters, the kids went out and danced too. You definatetly don't need a table by the dance floor to be a part of the action, just get up and get in the action. We had a great time here and enjoyed the food. Would do it again! The kids loved the icecream bars!!:thumbsup2
Day 3
We headed to Magic Kingdom. Our girls were dancing with their dance studio at 2:45 on the Galaxy Stage by Buzz lightyear ride. The performance went great! We spent the rest of the day at the Magic Kingdom. We had dinner at the food court at POR, the pasta station is wonderful. You can pick your sauce, whatever veggies you want and chicken or shrimp. It also came with a garlic breadstick. Was very delicious. :thumbsup2
Day 4
We went to MGM. Only had snacks there. We had a POS for Ohana's at 5:35. There were 15 of us!! All of our family was there because of my daughter's dancing at the Magic Kingdom, plus my sister own's the dance studio that did the dancing. Ohana's was great! Great entertainment, it was my sister's and her husband's 1st anniversary, they asked some of our kids to lead the parade around, they all got leius(SP), my sister and her husband were called up to dance to Wise Men, it was fun! The food was awesome and plenty of it!! The wonton's were great, the turkey was most of our favorite, tender steak, loved the potatoes. The dessert was delicious too. I also ordered my five year old the bucket of flavored shaved ice, he thought it was very cool and shared it with the other kids. It was an extra $4.95 but worth it to see his face!:cool1:
Day 5
We transferred over to Shades of Green to be with my parents. We had been trying to figure out how to move our luggage economically, we asked the front desk and they said they would move them for us!!!!:goodvibes They moved three different families that day to SOG. That was a nice surprise, I had read on the boards they wouldn't, but as an fyi just ask them!!:yay:
We went to MGM again, the kids wanted to do Tower of Terror and Rock n roller coaster again! Then we went right to our POS at Hoop Dee Doo. We got there a little early, so the kids played in the arcade while we had a drink in the bar. Had a delicious green drink called a sunken treasure. About 10 people ordered after they saw me drinking it, really tropical looking!
The Hoop Dee Doo was wonderful. The chicken was delicious, salad was good and fresh and really good corn bread. The sangria was tasty. :yay:
Day 6
We went to Animal Kingdom. It was busy and hot but we had fun. We then went to Epcot to catch Soarin before we left and the fireworks. Soarin was the BEST, my favorite ride be far, just amazing!!!
Day 7
Had breakfast at our hotel, hung by the pool, sad day knowing we are leaving!:sad2:

Shades of Green is a beautiful resort with big rooms and beautiful big bathrooms! Loved having a balcony, it overlooked the pond and grounds. The only bummer about staying at Shades of Green is the buses to the parks. For some parks you need to go on two different transportations to get there, the buses aren't as nice as Disney buses, they don't run as often, and when we were there the air wasn't working on a couple!!! But still, SOG is worth the money and the stay. POR was beautiful too and we had a nice time. We were in AB section building 27, great location!!!
Will try and figure out how to get my pics on here later!!

Did you stay in the AB, or Mansions at POR. I loved POR and can't wait to go back. How old are your dd's.

Was Minnie at Chef Mickey's? Just wondering which characters you saw.

Thanks

We stayed in the AB section building 27. Great location!! Beautiful grounds, we have stayed in Mansions before, I now prefer AB section!!:cool1:

I have four children, son 15 1/2, daughter 12 1/2, daughter 9 1/2 and another son 5 1/2. We had connecting rooms with my sister and one of my daughters slept with them.
It was great for my older son, he took total advantage of the late night park hours and stayed late with his friends. He had a blast!:goodvibes

At Chef Mickey's Minnie, Goofy, Mickey, Chip and Dale, Pluto were all there. It was awesome! I will try and ask one of my children to help me get the photos up for you all. I am not great with the computer!:confused3

Happy to answer any other questions you all have!
