Hi girls,

My boyfriend and I are thinking more and more about doing the wedding at Christmas 2008 (because that's the only period we have vacation at the same time) at the Wedding Pavillion. And of course more and more questions come to our mind.

1) We would arrive in Orlando on the 22th, so we can only marry on the 24th, 25th, or 26th of December. The 26th is Friday, so it will be the 24th or the 25th : do you think that it will be possible on that days ? (Christmas...)

2) If the weather is nice, is it possible to get married before this kind of arch with the Castle in the Back or on the terrace ? (I will have maximum 9 guests, but probably 0). Is it mandatory to do it inside ?

3) Do I need to book my own officiant or does disney provide one in the package ? (I want a non religious ceremony)
If I need one, I would take Rev. Knox or Rev. Miller : how did you pay for them ?
I am not sure they will be available on Christmas day...

4) About the photos they take of your wedding : do they print it for you and give you the CD, or do you have to pay an extra for the CD ?
If I want the CD of the wedding pictures, MK package and honeymoon package, how much will I have to pay to have everything on CD ?

I wish a nice planning to everybody ! That is so exciting, but so stressful at the same time...:headache:
Thank you !!

Hey! I have a little bit of info on your questions..

1. You can get married on either of those days, however the prices will more than likely be higher because of the holiday. I'm not sure how much higher, but someone at DFTW (or maybe someone on here?) would definitely be able to give you that info.

2. I'm not sure about this. As far as I've ever heard, that area is only for taking pictures, but since you won't have a ton of guests, it could be possible.

3. You have to book your own officiant, but Disney gives you a list of their "preferred" officiants. Since you already know which two you'd like, you could get into contact with them to see if they wouldn't mind doing a ceremony on those dates..

4. I'm not too sure about this either. I'm having a custom wedding and using an outside photographer, so obviously it's not the same, but I definitely know the other girls on here will have much more info on this.

Happy planning and try not to let the stress get to you too much! :)

Thank you very much for your answers !

I didn't think about the prices...I know that for hotel room this is the higher period, but I didn't know that for the WP it could be the same. Si it could be more than the 5000$ I expected...

Hi again. I know that for the custom weddings, the minimums are higher if you have your wedding on/near a holiday, but since there isn't a minimum for an escape wedding, I'm not 100% positive, but I'd imagine there's probably somewhat of a price increase. :confused3 Also, I read on here earlier today that the deposit for the 2008 packages for escape weddings was increased to $750.. I feel like I'm giving you all bad news! :headache: I'm sure you would be able to pay everything earlier, I think it just has to be paid by the 30 day mark. I'm sure they'll take your money any way you want to give it to them.

No, don't worry, you're not telling me bad news !
750$ is still less than the 1500$ for the wishes wedding..

Yeah, $750 is still a steal and it goes towards your $5000 so it's just less you have to pay later, right? :thumbsup2 Feel free to ask away at whatever questions you have, that's what we're all here for! I agree that Disney definitely needs to work out the tweaks with the wishbook. It can definitely be misleading and add to our stress!

But is it possible to pay everything, like 6 months before ? (I would like to benefit from the strong € facing the $, which would make me lots of savings...)

I have opened a dollar savings account with my bank which I transfer money into each month. I get the exchange rate for that day. This may help you moss up the money that you need and take advantage of the good rates at the moment.
