So many flowers, so little time! 3/13 So many choices so little time! Food updates!

I won't be packing until about the NIGHT before LOL!!!!! I'm so excited about this trip ladies!! I cannot wait to spend time poolside and really enjoy some time to relax and recharge my batteries!!!

Good tip on Target junior's dept for a cover-up, Tracy. I'm going to check that out. I usually just do a big t-shirt and shorts but would love something a little prettier.

Ditto!!!!!!!!

I can't wait. Two more weeks until I start packing!

Yes! Really awesome Cynthia!!!!!! I had no idea!!!!! So cool! I have never been there. Went to NZ once and our return flight stopped in Tahiti, not Hawaii. But someday! ;)

Well I've never been to New Zealand (SO jealous) or Tahiti. It was a marriage saving move. :rotfl: It has done wonders for lessening the "you're ditching me for a girls trip grumps" though.

2 weeks? Wow.

Of course I doubt I'll fully unpack from Hawaii as a lot of things are going both places!

And I do have my packing list mostly done. I really need (ok want) new capri's though.

Two weeks until you start packing?!! :rotfl2: It will be about four before I start "mentally" packing :rotfl: I do, however have all of my OL stuff stashed in my basement. I have been accumulating the things I want over time. :thumbsup2

New bathing suit and cover up should be arriving today. :cutie: Actually the FedEx truck just pulled in to my work!! :rotfl2: I have a very good relationship with him and the UPS guy :rolleyes1

Tracy

I have NO idea who my fedex driver even is but love the UPS one! It's a girl, she's awesome. She's handed my stuff at Evan's school if I was there around lunch time and she saw me. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Me too, Tracy. My UPS driver knows my dog's name and brings her treats! Is that the sign of a problem? Or perhaps just laziness... I do usually get free shipping. :) I should think about a new bathing suit.

Next month! What a lovely thought! And I have a trip before that so time should fly right by!! I really can't wait for our trip. The F&G pictures look just gorgeous!

And speaking of our trip, we should think about telling any PTR readers we have left about our dining plans and the special event we have booked for the 3rd! :yay:

Next month!! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

Yes we should! We need an update as we've made some pretty cool changes! But Melissa needs to change the date in the title. :rotfl:

The driver knows your dog? I love it! I'm big on free shipping too.

:rotfl2: UPS driver knows your dog! :rotfl2:

OK - internet shoppers - I bought my bathing suit (in a store), but need a cover up. Cynthia gave me one website. Any suggestions?

I still need new tevas (I want a bright spring color), maybe a messenger bag (horrors - I am going to shed the backpack), and a swim suit cover up. Then I am good to go.

Yes - I am an obsessive packer. Sometimes I start 6 weeks ahead of time. Sad, but true. :sad2:

No backpack? :scared1:

I think you should get a sherpani messenger bag. :rotfl: Actually they are very good and have cool colors, Timbuktu is great as well.

Lots of places carry both as well. REI, Zappos, etc.

not cheap but they hold up!

For coverups you can check out Zappos. I ordered two from there a Nautica and an O'Neill, the O'Neill one is going back. It's ok but I know I won't have time to go try anything on in a store, nor will there be much here that is out by then anyway. It's a good basic and it was cheap so that works. I may get one more, we will see.

6 weeks???! :faint:Oh my MEK!!! :rotfl2:

I purchased a new coverup with my new suit from Tommy Bahama but I don't know about it....it's not really cover uppy enough !!

At Target in the juniors department I bought one of those that kind of look like a sundress....I bought one last year too and then another to leave in my OL.

Oh yes...the UPS man...I was at a garage the other day...we were dropping off a car and he saw me there and gave me my package then.
Tracy

I have one that looks like a sundress too, It's just a little sheer and I don't like the way my swimsuit shows through it. Fancy schmancy, Tommy Bahama! I actually looked at some of their tunic coverups but didn't love them enough to spend the $$, thinking maybe I'll find something in Hawaii.

I know what you mean about not cover upy enough though, I saw one I really loved which will be perfect for Hawaii but might be a bit much elsewhere if that makes sense. Not sure I'd want to walk into BCM in it :rotfl:

Now I have to start thinking about a new swimsuit and a new cover up!! I definitely will be checking out my local Target!! Thanks for all the heads up!!!!!

Cynthia!! So awesome you're going to Hawaii you are going to have to take a lot of pictures!! I want to see what paradise looks like!!!!!

I'm soooo far behind on all things dis!!! I've been terribly neglecting this report and I must apologize for it! I promise to be better! I think within the next few days I might put up a few details on the trip!

I'll also have to put up a few pics from DD's surprise b-day trip!! They had started putting up some of the F&G stuff and what I saw was amazing!! So beautiful!!!

Cynthia!!! Woooo hoooo for Hawaii!!! I'm a little jealous! Aulani has been in the vacation talks lately but DH is soooooo not a flyer! NY to Hawaii might take some convincing!

Funny everyone should talk about coverups! I was looking at sarongs online this morning!! I was hoping they would have some pretty ones at Poly but they had nothing! Boo!

I will definitely take pictures and probably put a fair amount on FB. So exciting, there was a new fissure on the volcano. That part will be crazy, I've never seen anything like it. Although I do recall what St. Helens used to look like.

I am really excited as it's somewhere new for us.

I ordered a new Elaine Turner tote bag for the trip, it was on clearance and super cute and it arrived today. The colors are exactly backwards from what the picture showed. They actually sent the wrong bag, the one I ordered was "basketweave" and this one is "grasscloth" But it is very very hawaii and flower and garden ish so I may just keep it. The one they sent they actually are selling for more so I should probably keep my mouth shut huh. And it really does scream vacation.

Not positive it quite goes with everything but it is fun!

I want to see pics from the trip!!! From NY Hawaii would be pretty brutal. 10 hours I'd think and that's with one stop. Europe is closer I think! I told Evan tonight, he was NOT happy about it at all. I reminded him we hadn't had a couples only trip that was away away in 4 years and he tried to convince me that the one week every summer they go to my sisters is an "away" vacation.

I'm like uh sure...YOU are away, we are still at work that week every year, that's not my idea of a vacation! They are dying to go as I have family in Honolulu but I really do plan to get us there next year, either for mid winter or spring break. Which probably means a WDW trip for the whole gang could be 2 years away. :scared1:

I'm hoping that on the cruise they'll be offering developer points for Aulani.

That would be perfect.

I think it's 10 or 12 hours from NY to Hawaii! when we go there will definitely be a day or 2 stop in CA or maybe Seattle ;)

Europe is closer!! Which is why the much longed for, much talked about trip to Ireland will likely happen sooner the HI! 2012 is supposed to be an off year for WDW so we'll see! Aulani looks BEAUTIFUL though...

49 Days !!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hey Cynthia - thanks for posting all the bag info. I really do need to get on that. I am wondering if I should put my camera in a backpack and buy a cute park bag. I am really not very good at picking our cute bags for myself. I have trouble with shoes and bags. I like other peoples', but I can never find the right one for me. :confused3

I will definitely be looking at those sites! Thanks!

Why don't you use a camera bag and then a small park bag?

I think everyone has that struggle with shoes and bags, it's why we all have so many!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl:

Hawaii is just wayyyyy too far...but never say never....Aulaini does look absolutely beautiful :cloud9:

Supercute bag Cynthia!! Love the color!! :thumbsup2

I must confess that I've been thinking A LOT about food lately. And perusing the menus. Religiously. In terms of trip planning, it really seemed like (at least from my perspective) that we all quickly agreed on restaurants with little to no debate or argument. Ladies, do you agree? :)

I am so looking forward to all of our meals!! :woohoo:

We are all arriving on different days/times but I believe our first "all together" meal will be for dinner on Saturday April 30th.

This is what I'm going to order (yes... I know what I think I'm going to order 6 weeks in advance ... laugh all you want!) Can anyone guess where we'll be dining ?? Any of my fellow travelers want to post what they are thinking of ordering? And don't even try to pretend that you haven't at least glanced at the menu... ;)

BeeLT Salad
Serious Steak

Where are we dining? Any guesses?

Oh and I reserve the right to change my order at any time b/c already someone told me about another menu item that sounds tempting. :rolleyes1

I must agree with Christine!!! We all agreed very quickly on where we wanted to eat! Amazing with really when you think about the infinite number of food choices at WDW! From the basis chicken and fries to the divine choice at Victoria and Albert's! But we had it nailed down within a matter of days!

I can tell you two things for certain about this trip! We're going to have a blast and we're going to eat well!!!

Our first night together, April 30th, we will be dining at a restaurant that I first ate at a few months back! The whole experience of dining here was a lot more then I had anticipated and I was more then pleasantly surprised! I will be returning here over and over again!

My choice for dinner may not be as easy as the choice of restaurant though!

As I said, I first dined at this fabulous restaurant a few months ago and while there I ate what is likely the best burger I've ever had! Not just in WDW, but EVER!!! It was phenomenally good! I will admit that I ordered a burger that night because I was a bad mood after being irritated yet again by members of my family that I was traveling with (not my DH and kiddos!) I wasn't in the mood to try something new. I wanted something safe! The burger was a good choice!

Anyway, I'll stop babbling and gushing over this still un-named restaurant and give you my menu choices! I think I will be going with,

Cashel Salad
Burger 'R' Way

Although with the fabulous choices on the menu this is still open to change!

I know exactly where you are dinning because I just had the Serious Steak two weeks ago! The smell of the dish is out of this world when they first present it to you. I won't spoil the game and name the restaurant....

Great! So glad to hear a good review and that you enjoyed it. Although now Melissa is tempting me with the burger. I supposed I won't really know until I get there but it is fun to think about & plan! The cereal and toast I had for breakfast is not doing it for me with all this food talk!!

I won't laugh since I know what I want to order too!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've only been to this restaurant once but I think I will HAVE to go there every time, that's just how much I loved it and I'm a big fan of trying new places.

For me it will be a Crock O'Mussels and Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding! Which is exactly what I ordered before but that's how much I loved it!

It is still amazing to me how quickly our dining plans came together and to say we will be eating (and playing) well, is an understatement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been to this restaurant before and thought I had it narrowed down but now Melissa is tempting me with that burger!!! :rotfl:

I think for me the Goats Town and either the Heavenly Ham or Mussles sound good! :thumbsup2 I am excited to check this restaurant out...everyone seems to love it there! :)

I think I am the last to arrive on Saturday around 1241pm. I can say I speak for everyone that we are all so very excited for this trip. We have so many exciting plans :yay:
