They should alert you because if you have a dinner ADR I think it's a fair assumption that most people follow that up with fireworks. I very rarely complain about Disney - I think their service is excellent. However some people are paying $10,000+ to visit at a park per day. Many plan months in advance, wake early to obtain ADR's and FP's to fit the schedule for the park. Simply switching and deciding you cannot attend fireworks is unfair.
The fireworks were never on the schedule though that's why I'm confused by your want. Many people on the boards assume that fireworks will be added or hours extended but really we shouldn't assume. Yes it is notmal practice and we have all become accustomed to it but planning for information that is released and not what my change at 60 or 30 days just leads to heartbreak. So did you want a call that said sorry the park is still closeing at 7 as originally advertised, there are still no fireworks, but you will still be able to go to your ADR so basically we aren't changing anything.
