EVERYTHING!!!!!!

This is not good because I know I will regret some stuff I toss, if I toss it. But I can not get over the urge to purge!!

I mean really, how many water bottles and note pads does one person (or 6) really need!!!

So far I have pitched 1/2 and 3/4 used pencils, and about 10 note pads that were in some what rough shape. Torn covers and such.

We have been so busy the last few weeks the house has been a dumping ground. We literally toss and run out again.

Talk me down off the dumpster ledge!!!!!!

I have been cursed with the SAVE EVERYTHING gene!

Luckily my wife has helped me overcome it! I say keep throwing stuff out. It will keep you off of the show HOARDERS!

Just put it in a box and send it all to me.. then when you need it, I'll send it back piece by piece!!!

You still have my box of stuff collecting dust.. fill it up and send it out!

LOL it already looks like an episode of Hoarders!!!
DH has the save everything gene. I have the purge like there's no tomorrow every 6 months gene. But I also have the shopping gene.
And an addiction to cute notepads, pens, and cups.

Your box is already full!!!! :rotfl2: I'm working on box number 2!!!
But you don't have any room at your house either!

I have plenty of room... We are building another closet in the basement when we put the sump pump in!!!!!!!!:woohoo::yay:

I've just about decided that if I need to store something in a closet, attic or basement I don't need it!!!

Hey, wait! We have PJ's room we can use... she'll be gone off to college in a year!!!

No, I go into our closets daily... all of them... I have things organized in the closets so I know where things are... I can tell the kids exactly which shelf the school supplies are on and in which basket!

LOL!! Nope, we will keep her room upstairs....we will just give her some wiggle room to sleep in the bed!

LOL we'll jack up her bed and stuff things under it!! It will be just like a dorm!

Oh I guess I should put the kids to bed. they are ready but listening to music.

I'm tired of bed time being a fight every night.

Then I'm going to finish purging the office supplies! LOL

I say go for it!!! I do this on an almost weekly basis. I swear I live with hoarders in the making. I am guilty of it when i let the mail pile up, but it just feels so good to throw out 3 bags of trash and clean up and organize the space sometimes. DD is notorious for just stacking things instead of putting them away and then I have to go through piles to find what I need. :headache:

And coming from someone that has been helping a friend clean up and organize a house that she has been neglecting for almost 3 years. PURGE away!!!!

Purge girl....I tend to make piles too....Megan does the same thing!

put away some of her clothes yesterday and her closet was :scared1: guess what we are doing this weekend!

and don't even get me going on her desk and drawers! still trying to find places for some of her new things from WDW, so will be working on that too!

You mean we are supposed to be able to move around in our children's rooms? Every other week, I threaten them that if they don't put it away that I am tossing it! It usually works and then we start all over again. I usually purge DD's room every season as she outgrows her shoes and clothes. I just wish she would let go of some of her childhood toys and such. I have even offered to save them for her in the attic. She is a pack rat and will not let go of anything.

I say purge on, the mood only lasts for so long.

now if is scrap paper that you are getting rid of - send it to the first scrapper that posted here - then shes get to go thur it - take what she wants but she has to add that many papers (or more) & send to the next

or check with the special needs class at your school & see if they could use it

It's everything!!! LOL

We did the mailing of paper before, it didn't work well.

We don't have a special needs class at our school. I have pawned stuff off to girl scouts but they are all set. I refuse to give it to the art teacher because he hoards stuff.

Most will go to Nancy, then she spreads it from there. Really the biggest mess is books and furniture. We inherited all of MIL's stuff and 90% came to the house so DH can sort it. That's my biggest gripe right now

We do out our conservatory 2-3 times a year - roughly during the longer school vacations - and take a couple of boxes to the charity shop, or pack "stuff for grandchildren" in the loft (Duplo, playmobil they're too old for, etc., but which won't rot away to a pile of fluff;)) I've also taken to purging books - if I've not read them for 20 years I'm not going to. But if I read them every so often I keep them.

But I'm not good at throwing stuff - if DH didn't make me........... :rotfl:

Why not donate it to LoganandTylersMom for her agency. She often teaches a scrapping class for the clients and can always use materials for scrapbooks of the client's trips to WDW.
