just found out his age today. I don’t know if it bothers me or not. He certainly doesn’t act or look that old. Looks and acts more like mid 60s or younger.

Anyone else been in a relationship with this age range?

I haven't but I wouldn't mind if I really liked the guy. When I was in my late 30's, I was charmed by an acquaintance who was 30-40 years older than me. He even jokingly asked me if I'd consider marrying him if he were younger. We weren't romantically involved, but I remember thinking he was a good guy, smart & charming, and if we'd both been interested in a relationship, something could have come from that.

I can’t imagine the age difference being an issue at this point in your lives. As long as you enjoy each other’s company, and have some things in common, I’d think it would be a potential good match. Only time will tell.

My husband and I are about 11 years apart and it is not an issue..next year I will be 49 and he will be 60. But honestly he is in excellent shape and acts and is more active than most 40 year olds.

However, I am not sure for myself I would want the difference to be much greater to be honest. Maybe because I am nearing 50, I have been starting to think about aging more than I used to...

All that being said, he is my soulmate so whatever happens what meant to be!

I'm attracted to older men and men age well anyway, sometimes it's really hard to judge a man's age. I'm younger than you and I would probably date a man that age. My worry is that we would have nothing in common but it seems like you've already interacted with this man so probably that isn't an issue for you two. Go for it!

I think at this point in your lives, age is a number and more about how you feel, in have known both really old 70 year olds and really "young" 70 year olds.

The only thing is that at this age things can change quickly and while now it may be fine in 5 years it may be a totally different case.

My friend is 62 and her husband is 75. They are both extreamly active. Golf, Pickleball, RVing. When I found out his age, I didnt believe it. We know another retired couple that have a 15 year age differance. Really, we think nothing of it. Alot of people are on their second marriage by this age.

See, I think women do a much better looking young. With the right hair, makeup, and outfit, a fit woman can look many, many years younger than she is. I know a bunch of fifty-something guys who are gym rats & they try to dress young. They just look ridiculous.

It might matter, I guess it depends on the actual age difference and why you are dating. Some people date just to get out and have a good time. Some people date with a purpose. Usually a marriage/life partner purpose. Can this person fill the role you are looking for?
Soooo what is the age difference? :D

I can't get with the men dyeing their hair nowadays. It looks ridiculous. That said I freely admit to dyeing mine. As a rule men look great with grey hair compared to most women.

This gave me a good laugh. I do on-line dating from time to time and I've run across a few men just like this. if they dressed normal and not from the young adults section they would look really handsome instead of ridiculous.

Well I’m 56 and he is 73. We have fun together and he says he wants to spoil me. I’m all for that, lol.

As far as money, I’m not sure. He is renting a place now, says he wants to buy a house. But he has lots of toys, trucks, motorcycle, boats and owns land on an inland waterway.

I do think a little about the future. His mother is close to 90. He looks younger and acts much younger. He’s very active. Loves to fish, it’s all he wanted to talk about today when we went to see his property on the water. But he’s not one of these guys who dyes his hair and works out.

And he’s a good kisser
