Those don't make you old, Millennials frequently get roasted for using punctuation and for continuing to put two spaces after a period. It's how we were taught to type that influences that.
Don't forget the LONG list of achronyms we use on this board every day. BLT, CCV, MK, DAK, etc. not to mention DM, DF, DD, DS, etc. I know there's a sticky post somewhere in this message board that goes through the whole list.
I use a few acronyms - LOL, OMG, BTW and then FYI and ASAP of course even before texts but thats probably about it. I can't stand text speak and start to get overwhelmed with too many acronyms that I haven't a clue what they mean. I have to deal with acronyms constantly at work due to the nature of the business, so I prefer not to have to use too many in texts!
Not a big texter. Find it to be the least efficient method of communication for anything more than a single thought. Looking at my phone, my most common message sent is "On my way". Not big on acronyms.
I use all but HBD and OMW. I just started using talk to text but make sure I edit before sending. Although, it would be fun to see how my grown kids react to random mumble.
I use all of the listed ones, but my teens will use acronyms on texts that I don’t know and I recently asked about some of them and got a “your so old” laugh lol
