So how long are we talkin??

We are on Disney's waitlist for BVC points - hoping to be DVC members soon!! Two questions.

1. How long are we talking?? Its been about a month and a half. We have requested 150 or so points - with any use year.

2. As far as the waitlisting goes, are members and non-members listed the same - or are members given preference for "add-ons" before filling new member requests?

Can you tell we are anxious????

My understanding is members are given preference. You may wait months or more for 150 BCV points or you may get called tomorrow. F/U with your guide to make sure as there are points available periodically.

We already were a member when we went on the WL for 50 Aug UY BCV points. It took about four months. It didn't seem long to me; I almost forgot about it when we got the call. Of course, like I said, we were already member, however so that is different from you. Good luck!!

plan on six months............but if you are waitlisted for more points.......like 250 plus..........it will be longer.

I'd recommend hedging your bet by watching the resale market. If the resale comes through first, grab it. If Disney comes through first, grab that. The contract is the same once its purchased (although financing a resale is more difficult).

I went on the waitlist for BWV around the 20th of May and Just rec'd my fed ex package with the add on!! My guide said that alot of them come due at the end of the month!!

However, since you are waiting for BCV points you may been in for a long wait. When I talked to my guide last week she had everything available except BWV and BCV- But I didn't think my waitlist would come in either and it did--- I have a June use year so I got to bank my 2005 points today-- if I got the package tomorrow I wouldn't have gotten my 2005 points -- GOOD LUCK!!

I was told six months for BCV points Dec UY and I got them in a shade more than two. WIthout a specific use year you should not have too long of a wait.

We just went on the BCV waiting list today for 150 points any use year. Our guide wasn't very optimistic about a quick turn-around....He wouldn't be specific, but I got a three to six month impression. Put it this way, he said "have a great summer" at the end of our conversation.
