expected to come back with a guilty verdict if a close friend of Bonnie Bakely is on tv saying he does not think Blake pulled the trigger, but he thinks he was there when it happened, and went so far as to say he thinks he even looked at her from outside the front of the car and smiled at her just before she was shot. This guy was on Catherine Crier Live on Court TV this afternoon.

Blake is not charged with murder for hire. He is being charged with killing her. If the friend truly believes this, then it would be wrong for the jury to come back with a guilty verdict.

actually, he's charged with two counts of attempted murder for hire and one count of murder.

the jury isn't supposed to be watching television, especially interviews about the trial, for just the reason you mentioned. they're deliberating now, so they're not even going to "accidentally" see this interview.

they won't hear the friend's "theory" and they're only supposed to consider evidence. the friend wasn't there to witness the event and didn't tesitfy in court.

they will (hopefully) discharge their obligation as jurors and come back with a verdict based on evidnece, not wild speculation.

I read an interview with his son, and even the son couldn't make Robert Blake seem not guilty. Poor thing, I felt sorry for him (the son, that is!)

No, I am not saying that the jury would hear what the guy said. I am saying, if even HE who was supposedly close to Bonnie doesn't think Blake killed her, meaning, what he saw in the trial didn't get him to admit Blake could of killed her, than the jury will probably come back with the same.

I think the guy is guilty, but this was a tough case to prosecute.

he's too close to the situation to be objective, and he hasn't heard all the evidence. and, as snoopy pointed out, Blake's son even felt he did it.

we'll see what happens.

I'm not saying he (Blake) didn't do it but is there enough physical evidence to convict him? Motive, yes. But due to her character a lot of people had motive. Can a jury without a doubt say he's guilty? We'll see. (Disclaimer: I don't care which way the verdict goes, just hoping the truth comes out like I TRULY believe happened in the Scott Peterson trial.)
