So how are UPS/FedEx/USPS doing on your deliveries this year?

Something else is that you said you have several items awaiting shipping. I'm going to go out on a limb that you want those in as few boxes as possible and checked that option. If that's the case, your items might be travelling between Amazon locations so that they can put everything in as close to 1 box as possible. If anything you could always call and see what's up.
Yes, I did check that option, because if you don't, the shipping doubles.

I ordered from Old Navy on black Friday, and was given the standard 7-9 day shipping. It didn't even ship until 12/4. I kept checking the tracking and it wound it's way slooooowly from Nashville to Ocala to Orlando, and finally sat in Jacksonville for 3 days. Tracking said to expect delivery on 12/15. DH was home all day on Monday and never got a knock on the door or anything. When he left for work the next day he noticed the package on the front step. Thankfully it wasn't bad weather or anything valuable.

Then there was the day that I came home to a UPS envelope about 3/4 of the way under my sopping wet doormat. I almost didn't see it under there, but then had to peel it off of the concrete and hope it wasn't important, because the documents did not survive. (It was an offer to refi my mortgage. Sent via UPS. I think they're getting desperate)

I did have one item shipped to my local UPS store, for discretion. It was something that I could pick up easily though. If you're concerned about weather or your delivery guy, consider that. I didn't know it was an option until this package that I kept checking on because I wanted to make sure it wasn't intercepted. :)

My USPS guy delivered a package to my house at 7:30 a.m. the other day and I was impressed they were out that early

So yeah, sounds like they're trying to do the best they can to get things as close to one box as possible. If it's something that you see isn't going to make it, I'd call and speak with someone who could possibly look a little more in depth.

Had a old navy order from the 30th and still not delivered yet.. they say by the 21st!!! I also had a Kohls order from Dec 6th that is supposed to be here by the 19th! Amazon and the children's place however have been perfect.
Wow I thought my Old Navy was bad. I ordered on the 4th, half of it came yesterday the other half maybe tomorrow.

During the holiday season, and especially with more and more people now ordering online, I know we all have to practice patience at this time of year. Since I had a son that worked for UPS, I know how exhausting the holiday season is for them. Just smile when that package finally arrives! Merry Christmas!

I did all my online shopping through Amazon Prime & couldn't have been happier. Every item I ordered (prob at least 20+ different orders) all came within 2-3 days. I even ordered an air hockey table Mon night & it was here by midday today. I honestly have no idea what carrier they used as I never had to track any of them. I know at least a few were dropped off by my mailman but I don't know about the rest of them.

Fedex and UPS have been rocking it. USPS? Not so much. They delivered the package to the wrong address. My mom never mentioned she got the gift so I asked her and she never got it. So USPS kind of ruined the surprise, but she did get it. A week later.

UPS is my favorite, but I really like my UPS guy (and I see him a lot). Seems like they are consistent and the timeframe they deliver my packages hasn't changed much (between 4-5 generally).

I HATE the hand off to the post office - whether it is FedEx or UPS it adds 3-5 days to shipping.

I've only had one DHL package and I was not impressed. The guy didn't show up until after 8 and it required a signature. I don't like answering my door that late (cause it's so dark by that point) and then he goes on about he couldn't find me in the GPS and almost marked the package as undeliverable. Really? I live in a neighborhood that's 10+ years old off a main road and you're a delivery service.

Lastly, FedEx was weird about a package I got yesterday. It said that they attempted delivery Monday but I wasn't home - I was here all day. Then they attempted delivery yesterday when I wasn't here and just left the package as no signature was required.

For companies, I've had 0 problems with Amazon. Always quick. I've not been too impressed with Groupon. Something I ordered on 12/1 said shipped on 12/2 and I received it yesterday...over 2 weeks.

I haven't ordered much this season, but DH ordered something from the Disney Story last week and FedEx pulled up to our house on Sunday morning with it.

I have had no shipping problems, even had stuff ordered from Amazon delivered days early. In our neighborhood the mailcarrier delivers on foot, so a different truck comes around in the AM with packages.

(this is with Amazon Prime)

Funny, all of my packages are showing up in a timely matter. Now, a big settlement check that was sent on Friday of last week (USPS regular mail) from 15 miles away has still not arrived. So I give up trying to predict anything!

Does anyone know the latest UPS, or even Fedex delivers? I have to leave soon. And one of the items needs refrigeration.

I ordered AG doll for dd. I got the tracking number for fedex and it said it would be delivered yesterday. Nope.... I called the number and checked on it. Apparently it was sent FedEx smart so my local PO will deliver it. They have not received it yet. :( I ordered it on December 8th, I am starting to worry.

I hear you, I was waiting on a package for a gift from someone that is needing to be frozen. It was to get here yesterday and it did not arrive. I hope your's arrive today.

here in north Louisiana I guess I am beyond blessed with the best ever delivery people.
FEDEX UPS AND USPS all are awesome out here. We live just outside a town with a UPS facility and FedEx is one city over.

I have never had an issue with any orders. Though I mainly only order from Amazon or Snapfish (photo items) I ordered an item last Sunday thru and amazon seller knowing it might now arrive before the 22nd. It's out for delivery now. When I would order cases of my daughter's formula off amazon it was super heavy and it changed in the year from UPS to FedEx bringing it and each time if I was home they guy would knock at the door and would set the cases just inside the door for me! my only true regret is I normally get them a Christmas card as a thank you and I forgot this year :(

Thank you! I hope you get yours. Mine is not coming today. :( I called my local PO... this is so crazy!!!

I don't use UPS unless there is no other option, we do a fair amount of shipping where I work and UPS got so unreliable we switched to Fed Ex. Now when I order something if I have the option, I choose Fed Ex.

I haven't ordered a lot for the holidays but I did order 3 things that I didn't have choice and had to use UPS. One came on time and was left by the garage. One came a day late and was left on the front porch. One came on time but was left at the neighbors front porch, which they never look on. Thankfully, DH has the service from UPS where he gets and email when something was delivered so we knew one of our neighbors had the box. Around 8 last night, DH was out on the neighbors porch getting my package.

We live in a rural subdivision and most of the time have the same USPS mail person but this time of year they do add extra. DH works from home so hears the truck when it stops and it's his and the puppy's ritual to go out and get the mail. He has caught the neighbors packages in our box 3 times so far this season. He was able to catch the truck on it's way back down the street to give them to her.
