I leave in 3 days!!! I can't believe it. My girlfriend and I have been talking about this trip since early 2001 and it's finally happening. Of course, the cast of characers on this trip has changed about 20 million times!
Originally it was just going to be me and my lady friend.
Then, my parents and sister were going to go, as well.
Eventually, my parents and sister confessed they wouldn't be able to go due to finances.
Next, my gf and I experienced a brief breakup and I invited my sister to go with me, instead (my gf's decision, not me being mean! hehe)
Well, gf and I got back together, but I wasn't going to toss my sister aside, so gf was going to pay her own way and go for the entire trip.
Then gf wasn't going to go at all because she couldn't afford it and couldn't get the time off.
Finally, last week, she was able to talk to her boss. She'll arriving a day later than sis & I and leaving 3 days before we leave.
LOL It's been a crazy planning journey. It's so surreal, I can't believe I'm going to be there on Friday! And I almost as excited about writing my trip report AFTER the trip as I am about the actual trip, itself! hehe Okay, not really.
