What happened?...Have I missed a thread?..i can see there was a fire in the room..but orange tiggs bought DVC AFTER the fire ...so Iam confused?...Are Disney trying to charge you for damage or something?....Iam confused.

So sorry to hear about Disney not being so magical right now!

However, I once complained to Alton Towers about something that happened, no response. However, a week later I resent the e-mail with a link of the report I posted on a theme park website and they responded. Perhaps link them to the trip report thread and this one? Disney do read these boards and they need to be aware that your opinion is out on the web!

Agree with this in terms of sentiment, though I do feel it's a shame that you feel this way, having been is a position where you were happy to take it out, given your experience.

Are your insurance company not helping out much? Seems odd that you are the one having to do all the chasing?

Sorry to hear it had such a huge impact to you Sarah but no matter who offers to help or what help you receive I personally think the damage has been done to your memory of Disney and it is such a shame as you had such a beautiful wedding honeymoon and have some lovely photos of the girls there! xxx

We will all be sorry to see you go if you do disappear Sarah - but will also understand your reasons for doing so if that is the case.

I second tyhe advice about maybe laying it on thick with DVC about your reasons for cancelling and seeing where that gets you. They invest a lot of time and money to get people to buy into this so every single signature counts. It could be a huge bargaining chip for you.

So sorry to hear the trouble you have had, I have felt like this about Disney too and actually I am still incredibly angry with them over a matter that has taken 3 yrs to resolve and is still not being resolved! It's about the fact they screwed up parts of our Disney wedding due to them cancelling our wedding as first choice weddings didn't send the paper work and when I called to get extras they said Wr had no wedding, anyways between them and first choice We had a half hearted wedding with a wedding co-ordinator that acted like anything was too much our speeches were and inconviance and she had somewhere more important to be( another wedding that was booked for 3 hours after hours!!!) won't take up your thread with anymore details but it's not resolved and yet Disney weddings have said they will not deal with the matter anymore as they consider it done with!! ....,, anyways my point is that we didn't go this yr and didn't plan to go next yr or ever again even though I love it soooo much, but I have had the yr to calm down a little and even though we are taking further action I have booked again for next yr! This is because Disney is a huge part of my memories as a child and as a mummy now myself,the boys ask all the time when arena going back and I hate the thought of never going again now that I am calmer. I want to add that this is a reason though for us not buying the DVC yet we just don't think We can commit until this matter gets sorted it just doesn't feel right..... I hope that you do manage to get the matter sorted and that you find your love for the place again it's so awful to feel like this about a lace that is so Special to you!

People get taken in by all the "magical" hype. You have to remember in the cold light of day Disney are a corporation like any other and will protect themselves when they have to. At the end of the day, it's all about $$$$.
