So confused!

Hi, after reading on here and the Seaworld website, I HAD come to the conclusion that when we visit Seaworld, Aquatica and BG we will not be able to take a picnic with us, and will be eating somewhere there.

However, my friend, who got back from Orlando on Sunday, said she took a full cool bag with sandwiches, snacks, drinks and fruit. She said they looked through it at bag check, but let her take it all into the park.

Help!! Do they really take it from you?

I don't know because their rules say not to so I did not try it. I did not see anyone eating their own meals in the park. Maybe some were in quiet nooks and crannies, but not out in the open. We did the all day dining at SW and the beach buffet at AQ. We just did a big meal at BG at Garden Gate around 2 PM and we didn't want anything more.

The policy only allows for small snacks. I wouldnt want to risk bringing in sandwiches and a meal to only be told to throw them away and then you leave upset.

The all day dining deals really are a good value. I would go that route and be safe

We kept a cooler in our car with sandwiches and stuff for lunch and went out to the car to eat. It worked out well for us. They do have some picnic tables outside of SeaWorld you could sit and eat at. We did bring in water bottles and snacks to both SeaWorld and Aquatica and that was fine.

Yes, they can and do make you throw food away at Sea World. We have seen it many times as locals. There is a picnic area just outside the park for those that want to bring lunches. They do allow snacks, but often will direct you to throw away sandwiches, large bags of chips etc(Lunches).

Aquatica is even stricter, they have questioned us bringing in water LOL.

I sent SW an email asking for their policy on snacks and bottled water and this is the reply they sent me:

We are excited to host you at our park, we have a wonderful entertainment program for you to enjoy! Your understanding of our outside food policy is correct, it is similar to the one in place at Aquatica™. You will find more details under “Food and Beverage Policy”. SeaWorld® Orlando does not have picnic facilities available inside, but they are near the Pet Care Center, on the right of the entrance of the park. While coolers or food are not allowed to be brought in from outside the park, plastic bottled water or small individual serving portion snacks are permitted. No glass or plastic straws or lids please!
