The pahk the cah thing is definitely more of a coastal New England thing. You don't see a lot of it in Western MA and it's touch and go in Central MA.
My DH grew up with pop. I grew up with soda. He says soda now. My favorite story is when his brother was visiting us in Boston. He asked the waitress what kind of pop they had. What? she asked. "What kind of pop?" "Huh?" I interpreted: Soda. Oh, language!
Congrats on 10 days, Mama Snowbird! I hope you and your family have a GREAT trip!!

Today was a quiet day. Like yesterday and probably like tomorrow. My only excitement is that I have no more shower restrictions (other than "don't put weight on your leg"). No more battling to keep the right leg dry. Whew! How to feel like a human in 3...2...1...
I got my post-op appt with the surgeon and it's for November 23rd - the week of Thanksgiving. No work for me until then!
And then, today? The PA that I saw on Monday called. She said that she'd left a note for my surgeon about my knee stiffness and he told her to tell me that I should leave my brace unlocked all the time. She recommended I lock it when I go to hockey games though.
It was bizarre, because (with the exception of the surgeon bit) it was word for word the conversation we'd had on Monday. And clearly she was listening, too, or she wouldn't have mentioned hockey. Oh well. She was probably doing as she was told.
I am starting to get stir crazy, though!!
