Two weeks from today I'll be washing last minute laundry and loading up our truck for Disney!!! I CANNOT wait!!!!!! I have just about everything we need except for snacks and drinks for the ride. I'm going to go shopping for that stuff next weekend.

We're going camping this weekend and I'm excited for a mini getaway before our trip. Why is it that the last couple weeks before vacation seem to drag? And yet I know I will blink and our week in Disney will be over.

I don't know that I'll post to FB while we're in Disney. I usually cave and share a pic or two but it's probably not the smartest move for safety reasons. My neighbors keep an eye on our house and we never usually have any trouble but it seems like there are more and more break ins lately just because of the economy so perhaps I'll keep it quiet until we return. I'm always up for texting while we're traveling lol

Becca- Hope everything goes well with the surprise party and your mom apologizes. I'm not a fan of surprise parties. They're too stressful!

oh.my.word. 14 days!!!!! by this time...who can wait?!!! I know, it does drag, then you look up and it's the last night at Disney and you are trying to enjoy it and not cry at the same time....I always feel so ungrateful at that point! I have neighbors here who will watch our house, but I still don't want to 'proclaim our absence'...they can't watch it 24/7, or our office..so we just don't tell people..of course, people in your daily routine know, but they are not going around telling every Tom Dick and Harry...so it's to a minimum for sure.
my little sweetie woke up with a 'weird feeling' in her tummy and not feeling too hot...hopefully it'll pass quickly...kind of put my day on hold...I work at our office on Thursdays, so I am just waiting to see if she gets better by noon... I hate when they feel bad!!!!
I changed our reservation from Standard view Club Level at the Yacht Club to just a Garden View...no CL... I am having a much more peaceful feeling about it..the views were iffy and the expense I couldn't justify... Last year it was worth it...but this year not so much. And with DS17 being a Sr in HS this coming year, and a couple of small family trips from now till Graduation, I just thought it was wiser to nix it...it is convenient and it's great for Breakfast! But, once I made the change, I knew it was the right decision...I will just ship a box of stuff again like I have always done in the past ...filled with breakfast bars and stuff like that...but it's so far away at this point I am not really thinking about it! LOL!!

I do tend to post stuff on Facebook when we're at Disney. Obviously, all of my clients know that I'm gone (my fellow agents act as back-up which is awesome) and so does my family. My mom usually comes over every few days to feed and play with our cats. We also live next door to a police officer...he asks for extra patrols while we're gone and he keeps an eye on our house. Love it! All of our houses are very close to one another, so it's easy to watch.

Hi, all! I haven't been on these boards for more than a month!

Glad to see everyone's doing well. I've been doing a bit of planning for our Orlando trip. But since my d's job is still up in the air, everything is tentative. She's actually more excited about Harry Potter World than Disney this time, so I've booked us into the Royal Pacific at Universal for "bookended" weekends! I'll cancel whichever she doesn't want to/can't do. And then I think we'll spend a day at Discovery Cove; I've always wanted to do that.

It'll be nice when I can make firm plans!

It's a busy weekend for us and it's not going to be the best weather. We're heading to Syracuse tomorrow for my cousin's son's birthday party (his birthday is actually 5 days before Cole's). It's at an outdoor picnic shelter...brr!

Sunday is the day I have been working towards since mid January...my first half marathon!! The cooler weather is great for running, but not so great for outdoor picnics.

I've been spending some time watching the Disney site's live broadcast tonight. They have a camera at the Main Street station! No sound though. Just watched the parade, only could only see the top half of the floats.

It's a busy weekend for us and it's not going to be the best weather. We're heading to Syracuse tomorrow for my cousin's son's birthday party (his birthday is actually 5 days before Cole's). It's at an outdoor picnic shelter...brr!

It was because of the Monstrous Summer promo - 24 hours at MK. I know a few DISers were there and saw lots of posts on FB. It was fun - VERY crowded though.

Trying to get some stuff done around the house today - but I'm getting a slow start! Would rather be planning a Disney trip! Can't decide what to do for spring break! California, Florida, WDW, short cruise, Vero, Hilton Head...TOO many choices!

I CANNOT wait!!!! 1 week from tomorrow and it can't come soon enough! The kids are bouncing off the walls and so am I! Surprisingly I've not started packing yet. I have a pile of stuff but nothing technically packed. This is SO not like me but I've been so overwhelmed with end of school year stuff. I'm rethinking filling to my licensing capacity of 8 kids next year.

You're always welcome to come over! I had a productive weekend and I have mostly everything packed. The only things left are the last minute things that we are still using. I have two more days of work and if they go anything like today went I'm definitely going to need this vacation!!!!

I'm all packed and ready! DH just left for a half day of work and I have to run Emily's fish to my dad so he can babysit for the week. She even packed Fishy's favorite book for him to read to her (Rainbow Fish of course) and told him Princess Fishy (her official name) likes when you talk and sing to her. He assured her he would take great care of her then when she handed the phone to me he said "If something happens they sell betta fish at Pet Smart right? I'll be sure to match the color so she won't know." Love my Dad!

Anyway- we are hoping to be on the road by 1pm. Send us some pixie dust and prayers for safe travels! For those that are on FB I won't be posting while we're away. I think I locked my page so only I can post to my timeline. I will just be using old school communication while we're in Disney- you know text messaging and limited internet to stop by the DIS on my cell phone.
