Snow-Wigd and the Christmas Elves, a December pre-trip!

I second the Disney Holiday Magic CD. I just bought it today! I also bought 3 of the little notebooks (2 with Mickey & Minnie on the front and one with Ariel) and 3 packs of the pens. The Ariel notebook and one pack of pens is going to my granddaughter, Madison. The other 2 notebooks and pens are stocking stuffers for Hannah and Alison. They were out of the tins.

I also got them a Nintendo DS game @ $14.99/ea. I had a coupon for $10 off 2 so I got 2 games for $20.00. Hannah is getting the new Tinkerbell game and Alison is getting a Goosebumps game.

Thanks! I'm still trying to decide if I want them or not! They both have so many knick-knacks in their rooms I don't know if I want to add more!

Oh...and I forgot that I also got window clings for their rooms: Tink for Alison and Princesses for Hannah.

I really wish I could get away with telling the kids that we won't be doing gifts at all because of the trip.

This is exactly what we did, and the kids were good with it! I usually go waaaaaay overboard at Christmas and when I brought up the Christmastime trip to WDW with DH he said, "only if we don't do gifts too". I know he thought the boys would NEVER go for that, so he figured he was safe in agreeing to the trip - well the joke was on him because they were all for it! They know they'll still get a few gifts from grandparents and aunts & uncles (and Santa will leave them a couple of things as well ) so they were fine with giving up their usual haul for a trip instead!

This is exactly what we did, and the kids were good with it! I got a D23 membership too Anita......isn't it fun...? Have you got your magazines yet...they are gorgeous... now you have a whole section of merchandise you can buy...

I remember reading in one of my women's/self help/comfort books...maybe Simple Abundance....? that the author's family gave/received 4 presents each...something to wear, something to eat, something to play with and something to read... I thought it was an absolutely lovely concept...if you are able to do it......something I think is difficult to do for many of us...self included...but there is always aspiring...

I agree that Trips are the best gifts ever because in addition to the good times on the trip-they come with memories...and you have those forever...

I saw another contract today that looked very good for us but we are done for a very long while! Well that is unless Disney buys our contract then we'll be shopping again.
