Well they were non-refundable tickets so I dont get the money back, but I have a credit I can use up to a year from the original purchase. I probably wont use it. But my MIL has it all figured out that she can take mine, hers, and my SIL's and she and my FIL can go to Vegas. I told her that was fine with me is she can convince SIL. She helps us out alot with our daughter so no big deal to me at all

Well this crazy Hurricane IKE has us in its path and it is wreaking havoc on DD birthday party we were supposed to have on Saturday. This morning I had to break it to her that it probably wasnt going to happen, that we would have to reschedule. My poor baby just cried and cried. Finally her dad convinced her it was better because we would make her a little party on Sat wherever we are, and then her big one later on. Luckily I told her because the indoor pool we were having it at called a few hours later to say they were closing today at 5 and not opening again until at least Monday. We are waiting right now to see if the city issues an evacuation order tommorow. We have been securing the house all day and getting ready to leave. I have to work tommorow, and if it is ordered, we will evacuate all of our patients to other hospitals, and then once that is done, I will come home and we plan to leave on Thursday, we just dont know which direction to head in yet. I made hotel reservations in 2 places just to be safe. So I am feeling sad and worried today....

Awwwwwww. Im sorry your little lady bug is upset about not having her party and Im sorry you are in Ikes path.

Can you get her some cupcakes and goodies to take to the hotel? Maybe she will still feel and warm and fuzzy with that. I would surprise her with it, too

I promised her we would find a chuck e cheese or something and make a little mini party with just us, because evacuating with us (if we have to go) is my sis, my mom, my MIL, my FIL, my SIL, and my nephew, so we can have a decent little party. BIL has to stay behind as he works at an oil refinery. We will know more tommorow. Thanks for the thoughts, say a prayer for us!!

Well we are back home and luckily Ike moved north of us, so all is well here at home!! But the upside to it all, is while we were gone I got to go to a Disney store!! I got DD some clothes for the trip and I found some pins on clearance, so I made her a starter lanyard with 7 pins! And while we were gone I realized we are under the 3 month mark!! YAY!!!

I'm so glad you guys are safe and that your home and area weren't affected. Hey, and to get Disney stuff while you were gone is just too cool! Did your DD see the lanyard with pins, yet, or are you giving it to her as a surprise? Under 3 months!!!! That's definite cause for celebration. We will be under 100 days tomorrow. I love these milestone markers as we get closer to our trips.

Thanks!! We are very relieved, and hoping for the tropics to remain calm!! DD saw the lanyard, but I dont think she knows quite what it is for. I figure I will explain it as we get closer. Yay for December coming soon!!

Oh my goodness, what a drama! (I only posted a few days ago) I'm glad you guys are safe, but what a horrible thing to have to go through
For all the bad things I could say about living in the UK at least we don't (yet) have such powerful weather - just too much rain

Oh and your poor DD, I do hope she enjoyed the make shift party At least she will still get her party, have you re-scheduled yet?

I didnt grow up on the coast, so these things scare the S**t out of me!! And I truly hope no more pop up out there!! DD did enjoy her makeshift party, I will post a few pics in a minute!
I am excited about the pins, we won a (DH did) YOAMD lanyard last year, but we arent trading those!!

Well here are the pics form our Hurricane bday party. We have the real birthday party rescheduled!!

And here is one I thought was too cute!! One of the days we were out of town, we went to an outlet mall- AKA the disney outlet!! (Where I bought lanyard and pins!!) Well I took this pic of my DD and my friends DD, she is 8 months old and was fascinated with this stroller and its steering wheel!!

The days are slipping by - you've only got 78 now and we're on 79

I've run out of things to take photos of, although I did come across the pin we got for Art the greeter at the Beach Club
I would love to win something from the dream team, even a lanyard would be so cool, I'm glad you got one though Have you heard about the new promotion, free entry to any WDW or DL park on your b.day I thought that was a great idea.

We were supposed to go to a theme park on Sat for my SIL's b.day, but then it changed to Sunday and we couldn't make it, shame as I was going to post some pics

According to the WDW website, we have 80 days! I had signed on there earlier to check something out. That is where I got 80 days from. Thanks, I think she is kinda cute. I love Gymoboree clothes because I can get matching head things and even her shorts under it matched! Although I am sure that in a few more years, I wont get to pick her clothing out..

Either way it is getting close!!!!

I didn't notice you had posted that today

We have a DVC widget - you put in your arrival date then it loads a widget onto the desktop, it looks like a pocket watch and has a pic of the resort on one side

I can't wait to have kids just because of all the extra shopping I will 'have to' do Although we don't have anywhere near the range of stores you guys have looks like I'll have to stock up on future trips

It's geting on for 10 weeks (that doesn't seem to sound as long )
