Snow White Does the Creep on the Trip that Almost Wasn't A Dec 11/Jan 12 TR 7/24 NEW

Yay! That is awesome- 3 extra days in Disney!!! OMG I love Le Cellier!!!! That cheddar cheese soup is my heaven in a bowl! Mmmmmm!! I'm so glad you got to have a meal there!

It's definitely awesome that you got a last minute ADR there, of all places! It's Le Stinkin Cellier for cryin!

I'm eating there for the first time this summer and honestly, the thing I'm most excited about is that pretzel bread. Soft pretzels are my THING. They're just delicious... so a BREAD VERSION will most likely kill me, in a good way. It looks so delicious!!! Do you think you could maybe ask for extra pretzel, less hard ish ness? I would totally come to your book signing, btw.

All that food looks beautiful. Like... beautiful. I understand your frustration because I feel like I use the same adjectives over and over all the time. Hahah ahhh the perils of TR writing.

I'm guessing that you DID keep it... just because it was that awesome. I'm still very curious about your resort choice, though!

OHMYGOODNESS!!!!!!!!!! SO happy for you and your mom, you are going to have a fabulous mother-daughter trip! What a great daughter you are!!! :goodvibes

Isn't the cheddar cheese soup out of this world?!?!?! I've never actually been in Le Cellier, but I tried the soup at the Food and Wine festival a few years ago and fell in love! Cannot wait to try out the actual restaurant someday soon! :lovestruc

Awww I LOVE what you have planned for your Mother Daughter trip. Ahh it's going to be so incredibly magical! She's going to LOVE it! :lovestruc I'm so excited for the both of you!!

I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO LE CELLIER!! Holy cow I just started craving cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread SO MUCH. :cloud9:

Aww no chocolate mousse? You better ask for it next time because that's my FAVORITE dessert!

Your mother-daughter trip will be so much fun!!!! :dance3: I'm so glad that you were able to plan that for your mom's "first" trip! My mom and I had a couple days together at DL a few years ago, and we had a blast - so I bet you and your mom are going to have the best trip! :woohoo:

MMMM, Le Cellier! Definitely on my to-do list, and how AWESOME that you guys got that last minute ADR!

AAAHAHAHAH, you photobombed their argument! That's hilarious! HAHA! Howard and I took a few pics with people in the background too that were bugging us or kids who were screaming and such. It's just so much fun!

Yay for new trip news! Ahhh, being an AP holder is AMAZING. You start feeling so powerful. Haha. I mean, Howard and I only used it for 4 park days and we didn't even hop or anything, but I can just FEEL it in my Lesportsac bag, haha.

Love the pic of the soup and the bread but even more so, the pic of John listening to you rave about the soup and the bread! I did that with the beet and goat cheese salad from Sunshine Seasons! So glad you enjoyed that delectableness! I thought it was a little rich for my taste, but that's probably due to the fact that I have to limit rich or creamy foods or I'll get sick. Having that in the back of my head makes it difficult to fully enjoy foods I technically shouldn't be eating even though I want it so badly! I do very much enjoy vicariously eating these delish foods by reading your TRs though so THANKS! Haha.

Im here! Just came over from your last trip report...I love reading your stories, you already had me laughing again!

We do the same thing when we hear people arguing...we MUST know what is happening!!!!! I love that you photographed them too, I would have done the same thing, except I would have been even CREEPIER and not even bothered to be in the picture!! :lmao:

Le Cellier looks awesome, I can't wait to try it in July!

So cool you get extra time at Disney with your mom!!!

Le Cellier looks awesome! Now I am debating between there are Via Nappoli!?!?!

Oh my goodness! I'm so excited that your mom gets to join you! Now, my mom has been with me to Disney many many times, so it wouldn't be exciting or different, but I totally get what you mean!

I'm so glad you loved Le Cellier!! I got the exact same meal as you except with the chocolate mousse (which I had to take with me becuase I was too full) and the risotto changed my life! I have since attempted to make it at home, and it wasn't bad, but not as perfect as theirs for sure! I can't wait to eat there again, unfortunately I need another adult as our Mommy and Jack trips aren't really built for Le Cellier, especially since Jack was so bad the last time we were there I almost made him wait outside (he was 2 1/2 so not really, but still...)

Seriously, what is with all these double updates? You guys are killing me!

Whatever, I'll deal with it ;) YAY! You have FINALLY revealed the secret after teasing us Twitter peeps with your tweets on "Oh, I have a big surprise, I can't wait to tell you all!" For three weeks straight... hehe And that it is you get to stay 3 DAYS longer and with your mother. That is so great you are getting a chance to bring her on a real full-fledged Disney trip! I always love hearing about the newbies' opinions :goodvibes And she seems so eager, definitely a plus :thumbsup2

BIG :thumbsup2 to the resort choice and the discount! Your mom has very good taste, POFQ is absolutely GORGEOUS! I hope someday I'll be able to stay there (when I get my parents out of the Deluxe zone :sad2:)

Another thumbs up to all your dining choices! While I would put Sanaa in place of Sci Fi personally, you guys really enjoy that place so I'm sure your mom will too. And it really is a restaurant worth trying in my opinion, so good choice, good choice. I'm sure your mom will enjoy meeting the princesses if that is what she enjoys ::yes::

I would definitely push going to AK for one day, even if your mom doesn't do thrill rides, it still would give her the whole experience. First trip, you have to go to EVERY park, but whatever floats yours and her boat. I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves either way.

Okay, now onto the actual TR update...

YAY LE CELLIER! So very jealous you got to eat there! Like you said at the beginning, I've heard only too much about this place, always wanted to go there (and be seated as quick and prompt as you were) :teeth:

Oh, I think that Cheddar Cheese Soup is calling my name :goodvibes Same with those Pretzel Bread Sticks... YUM! And everything else looks good too, steak houses are just AMAZING (Especially when there are good desserts)! I got to try Poutine when I was in Quebec with school, it is very good so I'm wondering how Le Cellier compares to the Native land lol

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I am loving your TR! Thanks so much for sharing your trip.

What kind of camera do you have? I am needing a new one as I dropped mine on a recent trip to the zoo and sadly it was a complete loss. My Birthday is next month and DH really wants to buy me a new one. I am also obsessed with castle pictures and fireworks!

I love that you guys got to try Le Cellier, it is one of our favorite dinning spots.

Can't wait to hear more!

JUST got back from DH and my spring trip and catching up on all the news!!! I think it's FANTASTIC that your Mom is coming down to spend time with just you at WDW! She is precious and I love how you treasure her!!! You're a wonderful daughter, I'm sure!!! :lovestruc

DD (emma212010) and I booked a Mother/Daughter only trip for June while I was there last week! I just had to!!! It's always such a different experience when DH and I go as opposed to DD and I! We do totally different things and I love it! We're also staying at POFQ - we love it there so much and it's perfect: quiet, small, pretty. Can't wait!!! Oh, and Le Cellier? Yup, it's one of our faves too - the pretzel bread dipped in the cheddar cheese soup IS phenomenal! :goodvibes

I'm probably joining in ridiculously late but I just caught up. I laughed out loud several times while reading and couldn't pass up subscribing for more! I love how much you love Disney! It's honestly infectious. If it's possible for me to love Disney anymore I think I do after reading along! :goodvibes

I also have to say that your review of Le Cellier recaps my feeling exactly. Everything was just too good for words when I ate there last July with my family. Ugh. Just reading about it made me sad that I'm not eating it right now!

Oh and your mom...precious. :)

So I'll be reading along and I cannot wait to read more! :)

Loving your trip report! Really like your hubby's Dexter t-shirt. My hubby is a huge fan of the show. I almost teared up reading your PTR. That is so awesome you get to have a mother-daughter trip with your Mom. What an awesome experience for you both. Your plans sound amazing. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Thank you! :goodvibes We are HUGE Dexter fans. Seriously, that show is amazing. Pretty much any show that comes on one of the movie channels is a hit with me...Dexter, True Blood, Game of Thrones...I love them all!

Aww thank you so much! I am so excited to be able to take her. It's going to be fantastic, and it will make for a very fun TR!

Yay, that's so exciting about your Mom coming on the trip with you! And three additional days. Well, that's just the icing on the cake.

OMG, the pretzel bread at Le Cellier is just the best. I could subsist on that alone. Mind you, it wouldn't be healthy, but I could do it. Fo sho.

Thanks! I am so excited about it! This will officially be the longest Disney trip I've ever taken! Yippeeee!

Seriously, I'm right there with you. If I had a bowl of cheese soup and pretzel bread every day for the rest of my life, I think I would be completely satisfied.

Ok so I posted this earlier...popcorn:: because I didn't want to lose my place... I absolutly love your trip report...
2nd - Tell you sweet fabulous husband Thank you for all he does for our country!!!! He is awesome!!!
I started your trip report today and absolutly loved it!!! You guys are so adorable... My sweet hubby loves Disney like John which is such a great thing, we just plan all of our vacations around Disney...

We went to Disney Jan 3, 2010 and saw the Osbourn lights but we missed the parades in MK so seeing your pictures of Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy and the rest of the gang was so awesome. Even the Princess and all those really handsome Princes we're amazing!!!

You asked for suggerstions on places to eat, which you might have already tried them but here's some of my thoughts.

We love Yachtman's!!! Also a really fabulous steak!!! To me they offer a little bit better choice of desserts but no Cheese Soup.We also love love love Le Cellier, but we found that Yachtman's was awesome too.

We also love Whispering Canyon, so much fun!!!! We've had it several times, I love how much the waitstaff interact with you!!

The rest of your choices are fabulous!!! Ohana's!!! Yummy, the best bread pudding ever!!! I mean Ever!!! Flying Fish is sooooo nice! We ate there with our 3 kids on our very first trip and WOW!!! So nice, So Fancy!!!! Enjoy!!!!

I'm so excited that your mother is going, what an awesome daughter you are to give that to her!!!

I started a trip report the other day, If you want to jump over and check it out, we had lots of fun on our trip. The link is in my siggy!!!

Looking forward to more updates on your Trip Report and PreTrip Report!!!
TexasBelle

Thank you so much for reading along, and for your sweet words about John! I will most definitely tell him what you said. That means so much to us!

That's so wonderful that your hubby loves Disney too! :goodvibes

I'm glad you enjoyed the parade pics! It was a great one!

I have heard so many good things about Yachtsman! I feel like we really should try to squeeze that in since we are staying so close to it...hmm...I might need to make a few more changes! :rolleyes1

Thanks for all your suggestions! I really appreciate it!

I am so excited to take my mom! It's going to be wonderful!

I am going to go check out your TR right now! :)

Yay for extending your trip and your mom coming with you! You guys are going to have so much fun! I love all the ADR's you have planned! I really need to go on a girly trip someday to do all princessy things! :yay: And POFQ is so beautiful, your mom made a great choice!

AHHHH an AP! :dance3: Even though I have one and it's good til October, I'm still jealous because this is the last AP trip we're taking...and I don't know if we're renewing or not. :confused3

A TiW card sounds great, I kind of regret not getting one now! I guess I still could, but if we're on the dining plan, it's kind of pointless! I should have just bought one in October when I got the AP!
_________________________________________

Yay, Le Cellier!!! I knew it!!! :woohoo: I cannot wait to go back there, and after reading this update, now I'm even more anxious to go! Isn't that cheddar cheese soup the best??? :lovestruc And that pretzel bread? And the fliet??? OMG, I love everything there so much!

I don't know why, but the only have the chocolate moose on the lunch menu now. I'm hoping if someone asks for it they will give it to them, though! :thumbsup2 John's dessert looks awesome, I love chocolate! OMG. I seriously cannot wait to go there! :woohoo:

I hope you kept your lunch ADR later in the week! :scared1: Can't wait to see what happens with the resort drama!

Thanks! :goodvibes I'm so excited! I am really looking forward to the "girly" part! John is a great travel buddy, but he's not into the princesses at all!

I hope you can renew your AP! I'm sure Brandon will agree to it since it's such a good deal! Then you can do the TiW card when you renew! :thumbsup2

No joke Jen, that food is beyond amazing, and I seriously have you to thank for going there! After reading your TRs about it we just couldn't pass it up, and now it's a must do for every trip!

I hope they will let me request the chocolate moose in July because we're only doing Le Cellier for dinner.

Stay tuned! ;)

I think it's wonderful that your mom is coming for part of your trip. It will definitely be a special ending to your vacation.

Thank you so much! It really will be a magical ending. We're going to have a blast! :goodvibes

I'm joining in for your PTR and TR! Congrats on getting to take a mother daughter trip. I'm sure it will be really magical for both of you. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you went to Le Cellier? ;)

:welcome: Thanks for reading along! We are so excited about our trip! It's going to be amazing. That's a great guess- you got it! :thumbsup2

You are such a wonderful daughter! I would LOVE to go on another mother/daughter trip with my mom! We went on 3 before I was married, and they were some of the best trips ever!

Aww thank you so much! I am thrilled for my first mother daughter trip! I hope you get to go on another one soon! :goodvibes

Yay! That is awesome- 3 extra days in Disney!!! OMG I love Le Cellier!!!! That cheddar cheese soup is my heaven in a bowl! Mmmmmm!! I'm so glad you got to have a meal there!

I seriously can't even fathom that I will be in Disney World for 10 days! AHHH! I am so excited!

That soup is SO GOOD. That meal was the best I've ever had in Disney!

It's definitely awesome that you got a last minute ADR there, of all places! It's Le Stinkin Cellier for cryin!

I'm eating there for the first time this summer and honestly, the thing I'm most excited about is that pretzel bread. Soft pretzels are my THING. I'm guessing that you DID keep it... just because it was that awesome. I'm still very curious about your resort choice, though!

I could not believe when the CM said they had that available! I was like, "Whaaa?"

You are going to LOVE that bread. I mean, I'm sure you already know this, but I just need you to understand that nothing can adequately prepare you for it. It is beyond good. Get ready.

Oh btw, I think you can definitely ask for more bread. Our waitress offered us some but I was too full. In retrospect, I should have put it in my purse!

Haha seriously! I need to look up some synonyms for "good" and "amazing". I use those too much! :lmao:

Hmm...stay tuned! ;)

:lovestruc

Thank you so much! It's going to be amazing!

YES, that soup is so good! I wish so badly that I could go to the F&W Festival so I could just buy bowl after bowl of it! :bitelip:

Awww I LOVE what you have planned for your Mother Daughter trip. Ahh it's going to be so incredibly magical! She's going to LOVE it! :lovestruc I'm so excited for the both of you!!

I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO LE CELLIER!! Holy cow I just started craving cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread SO MUCH. :cloud9:

Aww no chocolate mousse? You better ask for it next time because that's my FAVORITE dessert!

Thank you! We are so excited for it! :goodvibes Seriously, I'm pretty sure my mom is already packed.

Haha I crave that stuff daily. I feel like everytime I eat a meal I'm like, "*sigh* It's no cheddar cheese soup...but it'll do." :rotfl:

I may or may not have tried it later in the week...*ahem* Stay tuned! ;)

Thank you! :goodvibes It's going to be wonderful! That's so neat that you got to go to DL with your mom! That sounds like a blast too!

You will love Le Cellier! It is the best restaurant at Disney in my opinion! :thumbsup2

Haha.

Hahaha ahh the art of photobombing...I love it!

I totally understand what you mean. I think that holding that AP will make me feel like a super hero!

Haha I'm glad you can vicariously enjoy rich and creamy foods through my TR! :goodvibes I'm all about some rich and creamy, but that salad you had sounded amazing!

:welcome: I'm so glad you're enjoying it!

HAHA I love your creepiness. You'll fit right in with me! ;)

So cool you get extra time at Disney with your mom!!!

Le Cellier looks awesome! Now I am debating between there are Via Nappoli!?!?!

Thanks! I'm pretty excited about it! ::yes::

Hmm...I've never had Via Napoli but I've heard great things. I'd still have to say go with Le Cellier, though! :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes It's going to be so amazing! That's awesome that you've gotten to go with your mom a lot!

That risotto really was life changing. That's awesome that you made it at home! I can understand why taking a little one there might be hard, it's kind of dark and subdued! I hope you get to go again soon!

And everything else looks good too, steak houses are just AMAZING (Especially when there are good desserts)! I got to try Poutine when I was in Quebec with school, it is very good so I'm wondering how Le Cellier compares to the Native land lol

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Haha sorry! It's hard to keep up, I know!

Thank you for sharing my excitement about my mom coming down! Oh, and sorry for the sneakiness on Twitter! ;)

I'm trying to get her to go to AK, but right now she's not really interested. Hopefully she'll change her mind, but then again, more time at MK is fine with me! :)

I hope you get to try Le Cellier soon! It's so good! ::yes:: I'm jealous that you got to have Poutine...I wish they served that in the south!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I'm so glad you're enjoying my TR!

I have a Nikon S9100. It's just a P&S, but it's pretty good quality. I think they run around $250, so they're pretty affordable. I'm sorry to hear your camera broke! I hope you get a new one for your b-day! :)

Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful trip! Thank you so much! We are going to have a great time! :goodvibes

YAY! That's so exciting! I've always wanted to book my next trip while I'm still there. That just seems so wonderful, leaving but already knowing the next time you'll be back! It's so neat that your trip is a lot like ours, with POFQ and everything! I hope you'll do a TR! ;)

:welcome: You're not late at all, you're right on time! Thanks for reading along! I'm so glad my craziness and obessions is infectious! :goodvibes

Right?! It's just TOO GOOD. I can't even describe it.

Thank you so much! She's a sweetheart. :lovestruc

I'm going to check out your TRs now! I just saw you are a future teacher! Very cool! What will you teach?

Eep! Sorry for the gap in updates. Life has been pure insanity lately, and I pretty much come home from work and collapse into bed. On the bright side, we are down to 67 days until our trip! It's getting so close! :woohoo:

Okay, onto the update! When I left off we were finishing up our out of this world dinner at Le Cellier. As we left the restaurant John and I just couldn't stop raving about how fabulous it was. In case you didn't pick this up from my last update, this place is perfect and you must go there. Now. Well, on your next trip. That is all.

So anyway, after we left Le Cellier we wandered over to France and John tried to entice me with one of these babies.

DSCN0262.jpg

As much as I adore my Grand Marnier orange slushie, I was just too full. I felt like if I poked one more thing into my mouth, be it solid or liquid, we were going to have a protein spill. :worried: Sorry to be gross, but that's where I was at that moment.

It was a gorgeous evening, so we decided to walk off our dinner a little around the World Showcase. We stopped in America to admire the decorations.

DSCN0263.jpg

Beautiful tree!

So remember 2.5 seconds ago when I said I was so full I could barf? Well I got over that pretty quickly, and we bought a funnel cake!

Did any of you watch that show Rocko's Modern Life when you were children? If so, keep reading. If not, skip this paragraph. So do you remember the episode when Heffer got choked on the chicken bone and went to "Heck"? There's one specific part in that episode when Heffer comes to terms with his deadly sin, and starts weeping and saying, "I'M A GLUTTON!!" only he pronounces "glutton" like "glue-ton" and it's super funny. So anyway, every time I eat too much, which is pretty much every day of my life, I yell out, "I'M A GLUTTON!" Just picture it.

While we were stuffing our faces with fried goodness we realized the Candlelight Processional was going on! I've been to WDW twice at Christmastime and I have yet to see this show. I keep trying to squeeze it in, but it never works out. I feel like you have to dedicate so much of your evening to it since you have to wait, so I haven't made time for it. I did, however, make time to creep on the celebrity narrator, Marlee Matlin. If you don't know who she is, she's been in a ton of stuff, but the only thing I recognize her from is Dancing with the Stars.

DSCN0267.jpg

She is deaf, so she was actually signing the Christmas story. It was really neat.

DSCN0268.jpg

DSCN0269.jpg

DSCN0270.jpg

It really was a pretty show, and I would like to see the whole thing someday. For this night, however, I settled on getting my creep on. Then we wandered on.

Since I'M A GLUTTON, we decided to stop here!

DSCN0271.jpg

Yeah, I'm still eating. Believe it.

DSCN0273.jpg

YUM. Since we were already in Germany John decided to get a beer, so we spent some time just relaxing, enjoying our treats, and people watching. I saw a ridiculously drunk girl who couldn't walk straight. She was trying to play like she was sober. Bless her heart, she wasn't fooling anybody.

Oh wait, I got more food.

DSCN0274.jpg

That, my friends, is milk chocolate covered caramel with sea salt. It sounds weird, but it was really good! I couldn't eat the whole thing, though. I had finally reached my limit.

After I stuffed my face a little more we were both ready to head back to the room. It wasn't that late, but we were tired, and my foot was hurting REALLY bad.

On our way out I took a picture of this beautiful tree.

DSCN0275.jpg

And this handsome fella!

Y'all, he's got lights on his doghouse. Can we just say a collective "AWWW" right now? :lovestruc

Goodnight, Spaceship Earth! I love you!

When we got back to the resort I got really excited because there was a cute bunny in the grass.

I got even more excited when I looked at the picture, saw his red eyes, and realized he was BUNNICULA! :hyper: Warning: here's another random flashback to my childhood. Does anybody remember the Bunnicula books by James Howe about the vampire rabbit that sucked juice out of vegetables? All of the main characters were animals, and I remember one of the books was called The Celery Stalks at Midnight. Anyway, those books were amazing.

Since it was pretty early I realized they were showing a movie by the pool! And it was...THE LION KING! :bitelip: I got really excited, so John went and got a blanket out of the room so we could cover up in a pool chair and watch it. Then he went and got himself a drink from the poolside bar. It was such a lovely way to end our day, watching The Lion King under the Disney stars!

Unfortunately, when we went to bed that night our room issues had not been resolved, and I made the decision that tomorrow something was going to have to change! :(

Up Next: Where will we move to? Stay tuned!

I have to agree with you about Le Cellier. My favorite meal in all of Disney was there. Now I really could just have pretzel bread and cheddar cheese soup and be one happy camper.

Karamell Kuche looks like my kind of place. Even when we are so full we think we will pop there is always just a little room left over for dessert.

LOL....Yes!!! I remember those books from childhood. But I truly believe that bunnies have an evil streak. I was viciously attacked by one as I was trying to save it from a crazy siberian husky. I will never be the same.

Loved the update. I always eat waaaaaaaay to much when I'm at Epcot.
