Snow to 80 in 8 days–A spoonful of Holiday Cheer (2/5 update Ch 36 - Final Thoughts)

OH goody, goody!! I can read it while I cook dinner!!
Sure you don't want to go back and put in an answer for the section of the parking lot at the TTC??? I've been grading the answers already, just thought you might......:rolleyes1

BTW, I'm giving random bonus points for answers that are uncannily correct, or just strike me the right way! They won't count towards people's totals unless there is a tie for first, in which case I will use them to break the tie. Since you probably won't be able to give me a Liesa greeting before the contest ends to tilt the balance (not saying which way..... ;) ) you might want to try for a few of those......

I like Magdalene's idea better! :thumbsup2 I think the A-Team built something like that in one episode.
I can't imagine a "head of lettuce" gun working any better than a potato gun!!! :woohoo: Of course, now I'm reminded of Foxworthy talking about shooting chickens at the windshields of airplanes in Blue Collar Comedy Tour!!! :rotfl:

BTW, my contest isn't like Glenn's where only the first to respond correctly wins. I wanted to make sure you have a chance!!! :lmao:

Well, you had the luxury of making up your own contest before you started it, Glenn's contest was not invented by himself, so YOU really should be the last person to complain about how it works! :rotfl:

The biscuits you are familiar with are what we normally call Pre-made and shipped frozen, poor excuses for biscuits, although I've had much worse than the Disney version at some places. Anyway, these are made fresh, from scratch (not a mix, in case you aren't familiar with "scratch"), typically using flour, shortening (Crisco, soft solid form) and milk (or buttermilk if you really know what you are doing). After mixing to the right texture and consistency, they are cut into circles (my Mom never did this, she rolled them into larger balls of dough, then pressed them down on the baking sheet with her knuckles, but not too flat) and baked until fluffy and golden brown. This version is very easy to cut, are great with melted butter, and can easily be filled with whatever you like (eggs, bacon, sausage patties, cheese, country ham, honey, jelly....pretty much anything we American's consider breakfast food). High in fat, high in calories, but oh so yummy!!!

Sounds not too bad - this Crisco stuff is something else we do not have here, lovealldisney sent me a cookie recipe which needs it, so I did some research, but last Saturday I saw it in the "American food shelf" at my local department store! Sounds very unhealthy!! But I am intrigued, maybe I need to find a recipe and bake them. Sound a lot like British scones. I guess there is also some baking powder involved?

Thank you!! I think it would make a wonderful mess! :lmao:

Oh yes, it would make your whole kitchen green in no time at all!! :thumbsup2

Actually, it was an incident with a potato gun which I had to deal with as a prosecutor which made me think about it. Potato guns are not known here and this case was the talk of the whole DA's office!

 @!()&$%*$ lawyers!!! And NOOOO, I won't take that under advisement!!! (j/k Magdalene.....) ;)

Baking powder? In the cookie recipe, probably, but I don't think so in the biscuits...... :confused3

As for not being healthy, I already said high fat, high calorie so that is a given!!! :)

This sounds like an interesting story....... :goodvibes

Did you already appoint the rules comittee and the members of the appeal court?

All this vegetable armory talk is really strange....

No way Dearie, this is a stinkin' dictatorship!!! :lmao: Everything passes through me, all verdicts are final, contempt of court is immediate and results in possible forfeiture of points! (and you think German lawyers/judges are hard to get along with....well one of them, anyway!) ;)
All this vegetable armory talk is really strange....
It's the giddy anticipation of a soon to be released Marv TR update!!!

You know, the first quoted post was indeed posted by my dear little sister!! :goodvibes She can be online at the same time as me and while I guess that she knows my password for the DIS, I really don't know hers. :lmao:

Or were the DISboards magically exchanging nodnol for flossbolna??

I caught that too. I think Marv made some assumptions based on the legal angle of that question but he would have to change it when he replied. :confused3

Maybe this was his payback for the earlier comment that went over his head.:confused3

Next update, entitled TRUE CONFESSIONS coming really soon I hope! And it did happen to be the type biscuit DW ordered........ :rolleyes1
:welcome: Tammie! So glad you made it over. I know how busy you've been with all those TR updates and your pajama parties in Vegas!!!

As for the blonde comment, at least you're getting your money's worth! ;)

Thanks! :rotfl: I think

I was well aware of who made that post. I figured Katharina could fully understand the difficulties of dealing with a German Lawyer/Judge from firsthand experience. :rolleyes1

I just used a legal slant for my answer to make sure the Dan's, Rosie's, Molly's and Glenn's (since he of all people probably deserves to return grief to me) of the DISworld realize that all decisions in my contest are mine, and aren't open to appeals and such. I am fairly generous in my judgement from the start, as I like to see as much success as possible. Bonus points I plan to give may be purely on whim, however, and may very well seem inconsistent at times. :)

OK, totally random, but i"ll go with Donald.

Sounds like Utopia to me. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay, I am completely po'ed right now! I got home from our visit with the HS getting ready for Drew moving up from 8th grade next year. I went to my bag I take to work to get my flash drive so I could post my TR update and after going through it about three times, I came to the realization that I left the flash drive in my computer at work!!! :headache: I know I will catch grief for this, but I have to delay the posting of my update until I arrive at work tomorrow. I will try to take care of it as early as possible. For Liesa and my West Coast DISfriends who would have had the chance to read it tonight, I apologize for the disappointment. I'm sure you are devastatedly disappointed! However, I guess Magdalene and Katharina will benefit since they will already be up before I get to post........ (sorry, I have to look for a silver lining somewhere). :sad2:

Sure yooou diiiiiiiid. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'll be locked in tomorrow watching the flakes fall. Reading your update will give me something to do. :confused3:surfweb:

What sucks is I also had a table made up with everyone's answers to the first round of the contest, and had the scores so I could post them right after the update. (well, except for that last second guess by Liesa). I had the flash drive in my bag and then put it back in the computer to check something. Well, at least I can go ahead and upload the picture I needed to photobucket.....
