Snorkeling in the Bahamas

How is the snorkeling in the Bahamas? Are there a lot of fish to see? I've snorkeled in Hawaii but have never been to Bahamas and am wondering if it is worth it to take one of the snorkeling trips. Also, I've heard that the water is colder here than in Hawaii or the Carribean - is that true?

I haven't been to Hawaii, but I have snorkled twice in the Bahamas. We loved it! A tip is the further out you go, the more and bigger fish you will see in the Bahamas. Around shore you might see a sting ray or two and some star fish and a few of those clear fish, but the farther out we went, we saw many more brightly colored and bigger fish. The water was pretty cold both time and we went in June both times.

The Funky Eye Club stems from the discussion link I posted above. We can't see 3D movies like Spy Kids very well.
