Sneaking alcohol into MK

My personal feeling is that if you're dispensing your beverage in the bathroom, that should be a message that something is wrong with the situation.

Amen. Course that could just be me remembering my family member sneaking alcohol into every beverage that she consumed and pretending that nothing was going on when questioned about it.

serious problem if someone cant go a day without alcohol...AA for that

NONE of this conversation is about people who CAN'T go a day without alcohol.

Rather, it's about people who don't WANT to go a particular day without some alcohol.

Honestly, you can't see the difference?

Nothing personal, but I don't believe this for a second.

One, the security lines aren't in the park, so, what exactly did he get escorted from?

I WOULD believe that the can of beer was confiscated. If he WAS, "escorted", SOMEWHERE, I would have to believe it was for a reason other than trying to bring in one can of beer.

I can't believe every time security finds something not allowed, they escort the person "out of the park."

Pretty sure by "at the MK" they meant the front gates and could be possible. As I posted above, it depends on how the guest reacts to the situation.

Yes some people have a hard time seeing the difference because they have had too many issues with the former, not the latter.

Whoops. I accidentally spilled one of the "other" secrets of the men's rooms. I never meant to acknowledge that there are changing tables in there. Sorry, guys.

Turn in your roll of duct tape.

Well then, don't plan on spending your day at a place that doesn't sell alcohol, or allow you to bring in your own. If you decide you need to have a drink, then leave that park and go to any of the numerous places within 10 minutes of said park and have your drink. Don't behave like a ding-dong and sneak it in.

That is pretty pathetic behavior.

I don't want to go without my dog...I think I'll sneak him in next time.

Who are you talking to?

I am sure that if he sneaks in a small flask or bottle in a pocket that he would not get caught.

I've never done it, but would consider it if I was going to MK for a late night visit. Could be fun.

My brother and I have always thought that The Cat in The Hat ride at IOA would be greatly enhanced with... errr...... ummm..... a mushroom pizza :rolleyes1

While my son and I were standing in line at the MK to have our bag checked by security a man in front of us was escorted out of the park for trying to sneak in a can of beer.

I've seen beer confiscated a number of times at the checkpoint, but I have never seen anyone escorted out just for having beer in their bag. This guy must have given them problems, or he wanted to take the beer back to the car rather than throw it out.

People do that, too. But if they're caught they will probably just say it's a service animal.

I'm confused. Are we drinking dogs now? How drunk do you have to be to even try that???

I actually saw a woman on the monorail once on a scooter with a tiny little dog wearing a service animal "vest". And this woman was with an entire family. I spent the entire ride trying to figure out what service the dog provided. Only thing I could come up with was that it was one that "sensed"
the onset of some medical condition.

Yes, there are service dogs who do that. Apparently there are also "anxiety" animals that accompany their owners everywhere, maybe the owners are agoraphobic and having the animal nearby helps. Which may also explain the Yorkie in the pink stroller at DHS last weekend, although I'm not sure because the stroller was covered with black netting and the only reason anyone knew a Yorkie was in there was because it was making a huge amount of noise.

I have a stroller for my dog that also has netting, perhaps I should give this a try. ;) Of course my dog is a 55lb bulldog, but at least he doesn't make any noise...except panting.

Here's my new Magic Kingdom service animal:

I admit it I've done it. I've snuck a couple of airline bottles into MK at night especially EMH in the summer when they're open til like 3am. I dont get out of control. It's just the way I chose to enjoy my vacation. I dont drive I dont get rowdy or mean I just enjoy a cocktail or 2, it enhances the experience for me.

Maxiesmom wins top post in ths thread simply by working "ding-dong" into a sentence. :rotfl2:
