Snacks?

Hi Everyone!

It's finally here ... we leave for Disney World in the morning!!

We went last about 3 years ago and used the basic dining plan. I'm sure there have been tons of modifications with the plan. We are using it again this time. I already have all of my reservations made for table meals and already know what counter meals I will do. My question is about the snack portion. What are some great ideas for snacks? For example, can I use a snack credit for the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches? My family loves them and that is how we used our snack credits before? Do the Dole Whips count as a snack credit?

If you can just give me some good examples for snack credits. I realize that small little snack things will qualify, but just thinking about some of the other possibilities.

This may be moved to the dining thread and I think there is a snack page there, but here's my advice. Dole whips and floats do count. WE also found several choices in the Main Street bakery that counted. My sons liked the uncrustables for a breakfast choice, which worked out very well for us! Ice cream sandwiches and mickey bars also counted. I never wasted my snack credits on drinks. We use the free ice water all of the time! Have a great trip!

Take your own drinks so that snack credits can be used for something else. I also took packets of Crystal Light & Lemonade to mix after we got tired of water. When the bottles were empty we refilled them at the fountains.

Snacks...Dole Whips...Yum!, Cinnamon Rolls from the MK Bakery...double Yum!!, the huge 3 scoops ice cream cookie sandwich, fudge and cookies at the Boardwalk Confectionary, bag of cotton candy, Mickey shaped half chocolate dipped rice krispy treats and rice krispy squares, suckers (I should have paid OOP), DSs enjoyed the popsicles from the park carts, the large pretzels in Germany at Epcot, the apple cinnamon pretzels at Hollywood Studios and the cream cheese pretzel.

We shared all of these except for the popsicle & sucker. I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting.

If you're referring to those wonderful Nestle TollHouse packaged ice cream sandwiches they USED to sell from snack carts all over...sorry, they do not sell those at WDW anymore at all...apparently a victim of the "healthy"emphasis because they were loaded with fat, calories, etc.(which of course was why they were so good) You can get the "homemade" version of cookie/ice cream sandwich a number of places, including Main Street Bakery in MK -- they make it right there when you order. As for our favorites, dole whip of course, lots of items at Main St. Bakery/Magic Kingdom, and the bakeries in Norway & France in Epcot; Starring Rolls bakery in Hollywood Studios...cappacino slushy at Writer's Stop/Hollywood STudios...Goofy's Candy factory custom snacks, etc.
