I need suggestions on good places to be the best value for your snack credits on the dining plan. We have twins that are two and will be sharing our dining plan.
Thanks!!

There is a great thread on the dining page that has photos and details of all the best snacks for DDP users. It is great!!! We have twins too, that will also be snacking off our plates (they will be 22 months this trip... 3rd time to WDW for them already!! Addicts in the making)

The Dining Forum has some great threads for making the most of your credits.

WE placed an order with www.gardengrocer.com We'll have bottled water and lots of breakfast stuff-- fruit, cereal, milk, donuts, muffins, and some snacks for the fanny packs-- raisins, fruit by the foot, chips, etc.

It might be worth it to you to supplement the meal plan.

I like the snacks at the Main Street Bakery in MK. You can get a huge cinnamon bun or a piece (big size) of stuffed french toast for a snack credit.

I tended not to use them for eating really, but I just wanted to add that going to any of the food court type resorts (moderates, values, etc.) you could use your snack credits on souvenir type goods, such as nice chocolates to take home (small), gourmet carmel corn, gift lollipops, etc. We used lots of snack credits doing this and brought them home for our cat-sitters, etc. Good luck!

Snack credits can be a tremendous value, which we found out! We NEVER used them on drinks! I bought cases of water before our trip when they were on sale at the supermarket, and we brought bottles of water into the parks everyday. So between that and our CS lunch we were covered for drinks. We wanted to sample more of the food at WDW rather than use snack credits on drinks, which was the reason for getting the dining plan in the first place.

Some snacks we loved on the dining plan were the HUGE cinnamon bun at Main St. Bakery at MK, chocolate mousse in France at Epcot, School bread in Norway at Epcot, DH was able to get a churro in Mexico at Epcot but the lady told him they are not normally supposed to be a snack credit, Mickey Premium ice cream bar (at all parks and resorts too), Mickey ice cream sandwich (DS3 loved this!), Mickey rice krispie treat (chocolate coated or plain), yogurt and fruit parfait. I even got a bowl of grapes one time to have a healthier snack! Excellent bang for the buck since grapes cost $3 and change normally there. Other things count as snack credits at resort hotels also. We stayed at Pop Century, and they had things like Uncrustables, lots of different baked goods, yogurt, etc. as snack credits. Also chocolates as another poster above stated.

I was worried before we went that it would not be clear as to what would count as a snack credit. Most things are labeled, especially at the resort they were. If they were not labeled I asked a CM just to be sure and it was wonderful! Would never do Disney without the DDP! That is unless of course they get rid of it, I am not giving up going to WDW!!!

Bangzoom, I just printed up your post and added it to the folder of important info I'm bringing in my carryon.

And I'm DYING for a cinnamon bun!!!

I use any snack credits left over to buy mickey rice crispy treats for souvenirs at MK main street confectionairy.:thumbsup2

Last year most non entrée items under $4 were included as snack credits. The only place we seemed to have a problem getting items for snacks was world showcase in Epcot. It just seemed like everything we wanted there was not inc. in the plan.

I went with my 2YO last year. I used alot of our snack credits for her. A banana, cup of yogurt, a muffin etc.

Does anyone know if those big soft pretzels are included as a snack?

At Goofy's Candy shop you can make your own rice krispy treat-coat it in chocolate and add toppings. Also you can do a gingerbread cookie or 3 pretzel sticks as one snack credit.

I believe the soft pretzels are one snack credit.
