"Smile like you're massaging my feet!" A Nov '14 TR! *Updated 6/17 & 6/18- NEW TR LINK POSTED*

Wow I was so far behind. :(

Your Crystal Palace pictures are adorable. We always have so much fun there. :)

The mine train pictures are the first I've seen from on the ride. I didn't realize they started that. Very cool.

Festival of Fantasy....love it!!! Your pictures are great.

Looks like a good spot for the parade as it gave you a nice angle for pictures.

Ever time I read a TR update covering the parade I get more and more bummed that it was rained out our last trip so I am yet to see it in person. Some day!

Does look like Disney nailed it with this one though - hopefully they continue this level of effort with future parades/shows (especially if/when the nighttime show at Animal Kingdom comes)

Thank you, we really had a great time there!

It's really cool that the Mine Train offers 2 ride photos. There's a ride video too!

Thank you, it was a good spot! I'm sorry you didn't get to see it, it really is amazing. Next trip! ;) I agree, hopefully more things will be on that same level.

Day 3 - Wrapping up our day at MK

Once the parade was over, it was time to use our FP+ for Splash Mountain!

If you read my last trip report, you may remember our Splash ride photo as being one of the favorites of the trip. Dad became such a fan of putting his arms up on rides and tried to get me to do it for Splash but I kind of chickened out. Well this time I'm happy to say I conquered the fear and did it! We still couldn't get mom to do it...but hey the trip is only beginning ;)

We then had a FP for Big Thunder! It was a posted 40 minute wait so I'm glad we had that! After Big Thunder, I went over to the FP+ kiosk near Jungle Cruise to try and get us a 4th FP. we ended up scoring one for Jungle Cruise from 5-6pm, which was perfect because we planned on meeting Peter Pan for his 4:50 set and could head over to JC right after that!

We got in line to meet Peter and again were one of the first groups waiting. Peter came out and he was..interesting. I had really high hopes for this friend of Peter and he turned out to be a little much for us. Our greet with Peter last year was so amazing I think it's just going to be really hard to top! I'm still glad we met him though and we got some nice pics! Except for the selfie, which Peter didn't seem to be a big fan of.

After that it was time to use our Jungle..excuse me, I mean Jingle..Cruise FP! I like the little added touches they add to the Jingle version, very cute.

After that we headed to the castle to try and find a spot for A Frozen Holiday Wish. Emphasis on the word TRY. Wow was it packed. I mean I expected it to be crowded but there was just so many people. There was no way you could even see the stage. But even though we couldn't see what was going on on stage, it was still such an amazing show. The projections and the build up before the castle is lit is just awesome to me. And then once the castle is lit, just WOW. I have seen the castle with the dream lights before, but I don't think that sight could ever get old. :lovestruc

At this point we headed out of the park. The park was closing at 7 for MVMCP and we had an ADR at 7:50 anyway. So we followed the masses out of the park.

But our day wasn't over quite yet! Stay tuned :)

Cute ride photo from Splash, glad you were able to overcome your fear and put your hands up.

What a bummer that Peter wasn't up to par. The selfie is kind of cute though with the silly faces.

Wasn't the Jingle Cruise fun? I loved all of the Christmas touches.

Oh man, the Frozen fever was going strong too when I was there. I couldn't get very close to the stage either.

I'm trying to remember where you were headed for dinner on this night. Guess I'll have to wait and find out!

Congratulations on arms up on Splash Alexis!!! And making it work even better is that it's your Mom behind you so no chance of blocking someone you don't know. And your form was perfect anyway because, no blocking at all!!

Ah Gym Rat Peter. I'm sorry he didn't live up to previous meets.

The 4th FP at Magic Kingdom really does work out to be something decent. I can't say the same for other parks, but Magic Kingdom does for sure. They definitely added more to the Jingle Cruise this year which is great to see.

Oh yeah, no way the Dream Lights would ever get old. I honestly wish they had them all year.

Great job in holding your hands up on Splash! cute picture of you and your dad doing that together :goodvibes

Glad you enjoyed the Jingle Cruise ... I like that they tried something new for the holidays since they don't do the HM overlay like they do at DL

Love this picture - lots of the Disney feels!

It seems I am perpetually playing catch up nowadays, so here goes...lol

I just can't wait to finally get to try 7DMT! I love that your dad had his arms up. Adorable!!

FoF is truly just the most amazing Disney parade ever. I loved your photo spam! It's pretty much impossible to take bad photos of that parade. I wish we could have seen it more than once on our last trip.

Sorry your meet with Peter wasn't the best. It's so hard when you have a GREAT character meet and then try to meet them again and it's just not the same. One of the downfalls of the characters having so many friends, I guess. The selfie is hilarious!

The Frozen Castle lighting looks beautiful! There is just nothing like seeing those lights pop on!

Another wonderful post about FOF parade! Although, I've never seen anyone posting that they watched it from Frontierland. I really love all your photos! Can't wait to see the parade and hear the song!

Wow, you are super brave with your hands up on Splash! Way to go! :thumbsup2 I'll be lucky if I can gather up enough courage just to go on the ride, holding on with a death grip. Not a fan of large drops. The arms up makes for a very cute picture though.

Cool Peter Pan pics, too bad he wasn't digging the selfies.

I don't think I've see Jingle cruise pics, so thanks for that. It looks pretty neat, especially the gorilla scene.

Awe, Olaf! Love your castle photos, so amazingly beautiful!

Was your Day 3 on November 10th? If it was, we were at MK bright and early that morning too! We didn't have an ADR but wanted to make sure we got a great spot for the Welcome show which we had never seen. Our first stop after rope drop (after some PP pics along Main Street and getting some Starbucks of course) was Peter Pan's Flight!! So we may have crossed paths that morning!

Sounds like it was a great day for you! Yay for hands up on Splash Mountain. :woohoo: The Jingle Cruise looked SO cute. We actually had a FP for it that afternoon too but decided to skip it. Now I'm bummed we missed it.

Seeing the castle all lit up is just the best, isn't it?! Can't wait to read more.

I love your parade pictures! They are great! We didn't see some of the floats and were far enough away from the parade we couldn't see most of it very good so it is really fun to see such good photos. They have some awesome floats!
The selfie of you and Peter is funny!

Thanks, I definitely conquered the fear as I was able to do it on a few more rides :)

I really liked the Jingle Cruise!

It seems Frozen fever won't be dying down any time soon!

Congratulations on arms up on Splash Alexis!!! And making it work even better is that it's your Mom behind you so no chance of blocking someone you don't know. And your form was perfect anyway because, no blocking at all!!

Thanks, Rob! The photo did come out pretty perfect!

There are just so many more options for FP compared to the other parks! At least in MK you can usually find SOMETHING to use it on.

Great job in holding your hands up on Splash! cute picture of you and your dad doing that together :goodvibes

Thank you! I agree, I like that they do something. Though I would LOVE to see the HM overlay!

I can't wait for you to finally get on SDMT!

You're right, it's tough to get a bad photo of the parade, everything is so spectacular!

It certainly is hard to top a great meet. And it's true, every friend is different so you never know what kind of interaction you will get.

Another wonderful post about FOF parade! Although, I've never seen anyone posting that they watched it from Frontierland. I really love all your photos! Can't wait to see the parade and hear the song!

The parade is amazing, you will love it. I liked watching it from Frontierland because it was easy to get a spot and it starts there, so less waiting!

It was a little scary, but once I did it I realized it's not so bad and is actually fun!

The Jingle Cruise is cute, the little changes they do are fun.

Yes it was! How funny!

It was a fun day! And nothing beats seeing the castle lit up, so magical!

Day 3 - 'Ohana

We left the park and headed towards the monorail. This was our first time on the monorail, woo hoo! The line seemed long but it moved pretty fast and we were heading to the Polynesian in no time. Yep, tonight we'd be dining at 'Ohana for a 7:50 reservation!

We got to the Poly super early, I think around 7. So we just walked around, looked in the gift shop, and relaxed in the lobby.

We checked in around 7:30. I have heard how behind they can be on seating, so imagine how surprised I was when our buzzer went off at 7:45- 5 minutes early!

We were brought to our table and I almost had a heart attack when they sat us at a window table, directly facing Cinderella's Castle!!

Major major pixie dust!!

Our food started coming out pretty quickly and it was hard to keep up with all of it! First was the bread, which was so delicious. I only had one piece though because I knew better than to fill up on bread!

Then came the lettuce wraps, wings, and pot stickers. The lettuce wraps were ok, nothing special. The wings and the pot stickers were amazing!! Between the 2 my favorite was probably the pot stickers. But the wings were delicious too, the sauce on them was so sweet and tasty.

Then came the noodles & veggies. Both, again, were really delicious! And then they started bringing the meats out. First the steak, then the pork, then the shrimp. The steak was, in my opinion, out of this world!! SO SO tender and had such a nice taste to it and wasn't fatty or anything! We all agreed the steak was a winner. The pork I really enjoyed, which is surprising because pork isn't always my favorite. But I thought the flavor was super tasty! My parents were kind of just eh about this. They both thought it was good, just nothing unique. Funny enough, our opinions on the shrimp were vice versa...they both loved it and I thought it was nothing special!

Overall though, this meal was such a winner for us. I was worried because I have heard that the food can be hit or miss. We all really enjoyed it and I just wish my stomach was bigger so I could've had more!!

Of course we had to save a little room for the bread pudding, which we all thought was yummy. I got a picture of it guys!!

As much as I was hoping to catch the fireworks from our amazing window seats, there was still like 45 minutes to go. So we settled the bill and headed out to the monorail to catch it back to Magic Kingdom. It must've been around 9 o'clock, so I asked my parents if they would be willing to stick around a little bit so we can see some of the fireworks from outside the park, to get a different vantage point, and they said ok!

While we were waiting, I was facing away from the lagoon and my mom was wandering around when I heard her say, "Hey, what's that??" I turned around and it was the Electric Water Pageant! PIXIE DUST!! I know it's a simple little show but it's been on my Disney bucket list and I was so happy that we randomly stumbled upon it!

That helped pass the time until 9:30, when Holiday Wishes started!

We didn't stay for the whole thing because we knew we'd be seeing it for real later in the week, but I loved seeing it go off over the train station. A totally cool view and awesome way to end the night!

We headed towards the buses and don't think we had to wait too long. We got a seat since we beat the fireworks crowd and the bus was empty! I have in my notes that we were back in the room by 10:15- not too bad!

Up next...a day in Hollywood

Wow, what a great view from your table! I really can feel like the food comes out too fast at times at 'Ohana

We had similar views as you as we didn't think much of new lettuce cups. I think both the beef and pork were better than they have been in the past - and that seems pretty consistent across reviews I have read recently so hopefully that is something that will consistently be this good.

We were disappointed they no longer came around with chicken (my wife doesn't eat beef or pork) so the meal was a bit hit or miss for us ... though we didn't have your view ;) .... and the Lapu Lapus helped as well :thumbsup2

I love, love the Electric Water Pageant! I is just so classic and kinda cheesy and only at Disney - glad you got to cross that off your bucket list :goodvibes

That is a neat view of Wishes - especially knowing that you will have a "real view" coming later in the trip

Oh lord I literally almost fell out of my chair when you said "This was our first time on the monorail". You do mean this trip.... right?

Oh my goodness, look at that view. That would be one of those meals where you really want to take your time. Sounds like everything was good.

Even though I've never paid much attention to it, the Electric Water Pageant is something I love just because it's so simple (and old and historic). It just happens every single night to very little fanfare and I, for one, love that.

Oh man. I wish I could go to dinner there right now. I loved those pot stickers too. They are so good.
Great view!
And so much fun to be able to eat looking at the castle, catch the water pageant even though you weren't planning on it and be able to see some fireworks all in one night. Magical!

Sounds like a fun afternoon at MK!!

I love the Splash pictures! You're so brave for putting your arms up too! :thumbsup2

The Dream Lights are beautiful! Christmas at Disney is definitely going to be a future trip!!

I'm glad you enjoyed Ohana! We're planning on eating there next trip and the reviews are so mixed.

Great pixie dust catching the water pageant! And part of Holiday Wishes!! Seats on the bus back just tops it off! :lmao: Great night!

I think you might have had the same table Mom and I did for breakfast. That was a beautiful view with the castle in the distance!

I don't know if I'll ever make it to O'Hana or not for dinner because the food just does not appeal to me. I guess I'm just too picky.

I loved the photos from the Water Pageant! I haven't seen too many pictures before so it was a nice change from the normal stuff.

We were very pleased the view! I'm glad the meal was good and hopefully it does stay consistent. Next time we will have to try a Lapu Lapu though! ;)

The EWP is cheesy but it's Disney cheesy so it's still great! And it was totally cool to get a different view of Wishes and I'm glad we were able to do that!

Oh lord I literally almost fell out of my chair when you said "This was our first time on the monorail". You do mean this trip.... right?

I'm afraid to answer your question because I don't want you to fall off your chair again!

The EWP is totally simple, and you're right about it happening with little fanfare. I'm so glad we were able to catch it.

Oh man. I wish I could go to dinner there right now. I loved those pot stickers too. They are so good.
Great view!
And so much fun to be able to eat looking at the castle, catch the water pageant even though you weren't planning on it and be able to see some fireworks all in one night. Magical!

Ugh I agree, constantly craving that meal!! It was a magical night indeed!

It was a great first day at MK! And a great night as well!

Definitely add Disney at Christmas to your list because it's SO amazing.

The 'Ohana reviews worried me also but I'm so glad we went. Hopefully the quality of the food there will become more consistent!

I think you might have had the same table Mom and I did for breakfast. That was a beautiful view with the castle in the distance!

How funny! Definitely a great view to have. I understand you not going there for dinner, if the food is not up your alley then there is no point! I know there are some places I feel the same way about!

I'm glad you liked the pictures :) It was so great to catch it!

Such a perfect Splash photo and I love the sparkle castle photo with the fireworks on each side. Magic moment captured!
