Day 3 - Fun in Fantasyland!

I believe it was about 9:15 when we got out of Crystal Palace and the park was already open. Obligatory castle photos here...





We headed straight to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan's Flight! This was closed on our last trip so we were all really excited to get on this! The posted wait was 20 minutes and I think it actually took about 25 to get on. Totally worth the wait though!





When we got off it was close to 10am, so we decided to head over for Gaston's first meet of the day. We were about the 2nd or 3rd group waiting for him. OMG one of the best character meets ever! This guy doesn't miss a beat. You may recognize him from a few videos that have recently gone viral I handed him his autograph card to sign (last year I got autograph cards signed by each character; this trip I brought along all the ones I didn't have a chance to get) and as he admired himself I jokingly told him that his muscles looked bigger in the photo and he said it was because he didn't eat his eggs yet today. And here is where the TR title came to fruition! As we posed to take our picture he loudly exclaimed "NOW SMILE LIKE YOU'RE MASSAGING MY FEET!!" SO funny! (Rob, was your guess correct??)

By the look in my eyes, I think I may have fallen a little in love with him









We also stopped at got some PP pics in front of Beast's castle, and got a cool magic shot too!







We then headed over to see if the Fairy Godmother was still meeting. She was, so we got in line. However, we were told we probably weren't going to make her set but if we stayed in line we could meet the Tremaines, so we decided why not?! The Tremaines are one of my favorites to meet, and Dad also may have a little crush on them

We decided to let him go first and get some alone time with the ladies. They were HYSTERICAL with him! They asked him if he was a King and he said no. They were all very dissapointed until he said "Not Yet!". They liked that answer



They let Mom & I get in for a photo (Lady Tremaine's faces crack me up!) and I also made sure to get selfies!

Doesn't an attraction being closed on a previous trip make it even better on a subsequent trip even better? Like, Philharmagic was closed in September and I am so giddy to see it again.

AHHHHH YES I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!! I knew without a doubt that Gaston had to be the quoter of that line. That is SUCH a Gaston thing to say. I did witness something similar which made it all the more likely. Good God he's funny and the only one who could get away with that. He also looks very Italian that day. "Hey Yo it's me, Gaston. Fugetaboutit." Maybe it's just me.

Aww too bad missing FG. I have yet to meet her. But, WAY TO GO DAD!! I too think the Tremaines are awesome and much preferred to that high maintenance Cinderella, lol. That Drizella selfie is fabulous.

YES! And I was especially excited for my parents since they hadn't been on it since the 90s!!

Perhaps FG will make an appearance later in the trip But The Tremaines are totally awesome and I feel like I can never not meet them on a trip! Thank you haha I tried to switch it up and match her facial expression

Funny because I was hoping to meet a certain other friend of Gaston's but this guy was hysterical!

So hilarious! I can definitely see how he can be intimidating but he honestly does all the talking so there's no need to be nervous!

Day 3 - More Magic Kingdom Fun

After meeting the Tremaines we decided to hit up Haunted Mansion, which only had a 15 minute wait. Sometimes I forget how much I really love this ride!









I was also happy to see a PP photographer taking pictures when you exited the ride!





From there we went to meet Chip & Dale! I've never met them in this location so it was fun to get them in these costumes!








After that we headed back to Fantasyland. I was hoping again to meet Fairy Godmother, but either she wasn't out or her line was closed. So we decided to do Philharmagic, another favorite of ours

We still had some time before our SDMT FP so we decided to ride Under the Sea, which about a 20 minute wait. Honestly, this is one of those lines I don't mind waiting in. It always seems to move fast and I love looking at all the decor and watching Scuttle!









Once we got off, it was Mine Train time!! It was a posted 80 minute wait- I was very grateful to have scored that FP! We waited less than 5 minutes before boarding. So what did I think? I really really loved it! Yes, it is short. No, it's not the most "thrilling". No, I wouldn't wait 80 minutes for it. But I think it's well done and a very fun ride! Going through the mine scene is amazing and I love how smooth it is!





I love that Dad put his hands up! And we didn't know where the cameras were so it's pretty funny that it was caught in the picture! I have NO idea what I'm doing haha and Mom looks like the happiest camper!

After that it was time to get some food in our bellies! I gave my parents all the QS options and they basically just said to pick whatever I wanted. I hate when they do that! But if I was picking then I decided on a place that I had been wanting to try- Columbia Harbor House! The line was a little long, but dad went to the upstairs and found us a table while my mom and I ordered. We just got 2 lobster rolls, one for myself and one for them to split. I enjoyed this, as did they I think! It wasn't too heavy and had a good taste to it.

Once we finished it was around 2, so we decided to go see the Country Bear Jamboree!

OK, I somehow missed the update on 1/13 so I'm commenting on two!

I actually waited in the PP line my last trip because I wanted to see the new interactive line. It was really cool but it will be a while before I post those pictures because it was towards the end of the week.

Is it me or is Gaston looking a little like John Travolta?

Love that Lumiere Magic Shot. Mom and I got that one in October.

Awesome pictures with the Tremaines! They seem so awesome to meet and are high on my list for next time.

Ah, I so love the Haunted Mansion. And so cool that they had a PP spot there. Love the borders. The borders were extremely limited when I did my December pictures. I found out later that there was some glitch and not all of them were loading. It was too late at that point though because I had already downloaded mine.

I feel exactly like you did for the Mine Train. Fun but definitely not worth an 80 minute wait. I love that you are looking directly at the camera in the second picture.

I agree Alexis. Haunted Mansion is one of those rides that immediately reminds you you're in Disney.

Haha, the old 20 minutes Ariel ride wait. I have it on good authority that Disney never (or rarely) puts this time below 20 even if it's walk on. I can't prove it, but it is what I've been told.

I'm looking forward to riding Mine Train again, but with a completely different mindset than last time. Knowing what it really is, an enhanced dark ride, will make it more enjoyable going forward I think.

CBJ...this is the one of the two attractions that I am really really really hoping is open when we go. I have such fond memories of the it in DL, I want my kids to be able to see it. Love your pictures!

Day 3 - FESTIVAL OF FANTASY!

I think it was close to 2:30 when we got out of CBJ, so it was time for us to find a spot for Festival of Fantasy! We found a good spot in Frontierland, right near the start of the parade route. We were in front of a food cart, which actually worked out because the space was so narrow that nobody could stand behind us or try to push us around.

Finally it was time to see FOF and I could not contain my excitement! I was so overwhelmed by everything! But it really is such a phenomenal parade, and the song constantly gets stuck in my head!! The only bummer was the sun glare was a little annoying, and made it a little difficult to get certain pictures. Nonetheless we all loved it, and I made a mental note to try and see it again on one of our other MK days

Great PP Haunted Mansion pics! I never really got to see the queue at LM since we only used FP+ but it seems like a nice area to wait if you have too - fun stuff and shady!

I had all the same thoughts on 7DMT. Cute ride with fun twists and turns but short. I wouldn't wait over 30 minutes for it even though it is a good ride. We had FP+ for it so I never waited more than 10 minutes.

I love to FOF shots! It looks like you got a great spot!

I'm right there with you Alexis. Festival of Fantasy is a home run of epic proportions. The best daytime parade I've seen. I think you are actually right near where I was my first try when it got cancelled. There's only one real downside of this parade for me. I can't not want to see it. I usually had no issue missing the daytime parade leaving plenty of time to do other things. No more.
