Grace also was a regular in the one season TV show "Off the Map" last year.
Nope, wrong daughter. Mamie, her sister was in Off The Map.

I agree. There's something not quite right about his Joe. And while I loved the song, I couldn't stand his facial expressions during "Lexington & 52nd Street." What's with the wrinkled nose?He does nothing for me.I don't even like him as Joe

I'm really not liking Ivy much at all right now. She is acting very entitled.Debra Messing and Ivy were kind of annoying this week.![]()
Debra cheats on her husband & she acts like the wounded victim?![]()

Ivy is turning out to be mean & bitter. She's in a Broadway show, making money that way instead of waiting tables and she's acting ungrateful. She's mean to Karen, who needs to wise up.![]()
What's with Ivy saying she was up for that OJ commercial? They were auditioning for it. It's not like she had it in the bag. She's got Lindsay Lohan's attitude of feeling entitled.![]()
I did like how Eileen put Ellis in his place.![]()

Did anyone else think it was really odd how chummy Ivy and Karen were when they were drunk? That whole part was just odd.![]()
I like the new title......
Bombshell
But Uma thurmand as Marilyn next week?????????????????????![]()
Was Ivy even really "up" for the OJ commercial? As I remember it, she was late for her audition appointment and bumped into Karen as Karen left her audition appointment. The door closed behind Karen before Ivy even got in the audition room and you can hear someone say something to the effect that "she was wonderful! (or "perfect" or "great" I don't remember the exact adjective.)
My DD went to enough auditions to know that having an appointment to audition doesn't mean you're "up" for a part. (FWIW, she decided that she doesn't handle rejection well enough to be in show business. Good career choice; she's now an accomplished portrait photographer.)

I think she's simply channelling Marilyn. The difference is that Marilyn was a star when she went off the deep end.Hello Ivy, it's just a workshop right now. I think the majority of them never get to Broadway for a whole host of reasons. She's acting like just because she was picked for Marilyn, that has some extra cachet.![]()
Good for DD in knowing what she can handle, rather than torture herself.
I don't think Ivy was "up" for the commercial either. Just because someone has an audition slot, I don't think means they are guaranteed anything. She is delusional and quite unlikable right now. Is there anything redeeming about her?
I don't care for the name "Bombshell." I think it has the chance to bite them in the butt with nasty reviews if the show BOMBS.![]()
I also don't think Uma is going to stay around for very long. I think she will guest star for a few weeks, be a diva, wreak havoc and ultimately "part ways" as they have creative (attitudinal) differences with her. Then it will be back to Ivy & Karen possibly back up for the role again.
Since Uma Thurman is pregnant, I don't see her sticking around too long on the show.
I actually thought that Debra Messing was pretty good in this episode. "I won't let anyone take responsibility for what I did." To me, that's not a "wounded victim." Just because she's responsible (and she knows it) for destroying her marriage doesn't mean that she can't be devastated by it, too.
Can Uma Thurman sing well enough to be a star in a Broadway musical? Or am I basing too much in reality?
