I dread thinking about this, but do you think the menus at the Signature Restaurants might be "cut back" due to the 2008 DELUXE Dining Plan? :guilty:

Its already happening. From what I read in 2008 most restaurants will also have similar deserts to save money :surfweb:

Most all WDW restaurants are being standardized, so it's possible. But I don't really know about the signatures, since they charge more for them on the DDP.

I think it will depend on how popular the deluxe plan turns out to be.

I gota tell you, this is starting to really tick me off. Wolfgang Pucks Cafe dropped steaks, crabcakes, and some deserts. Chef's De' France dropped steaks. I am sure there are more that we will soon hear about.

I decided to but into the 2008 DDP reluctantly but now, I don't know if it's worht it. I had a ADR for Le Cellar. I wonder what they are going to cut off thier menu?

What's next? If Hoop Dee Doo drops down to one preformer with a harmoinca...

:rotfl:

The performers aren't on the dining plan so I think it more likely they'll limit you to a drumstick and one rib and a spoonful of corn.

I am wondering if the menu changes aren't in response to the upcoming free dining period. Same thing happened last year (with different menus I think)

Wolfgang's and Le Cellier aren't signature places, they're one credit restaurants, which I think are more susceptible to this sort of thing, but time will tell.

LeCellier will drop steaks. LOL

I had a terrible dream last night! :scared1: We booked Le Cellier, Boma & several Signature Restaurants with the 2008 Deluxe Dining Plan. Here is the adult menu we were given everywhere.

Frozen Coke

Chicken Fingers

Twinkies

:scared1:

Chicken Finger. Too expensive to offer more than one.

I knew that Cellar and WGP weren't on the Deluxe but it's a sign of the start of deleting cost prohibitive dinning items.

I'm so sad, I have to go and cook a steak now. I'll be back later. :rotfl:

And now at CA grill, the all the sushi is concidered an entree!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am getting ticked! grrrrrrrr. The Universal deal is starting to look "sweet".

I was on free dining last year and followed the boards. I did have steak selections last year. This IMO has nothing to do with free dining , THe Spoodles menu has also been dumbed back.
Disney is gearing up maybe early for the 2008 changes. It will save them even more money. They are smart to do it now as it will be less obvious to guests in January. Some think the menus will change back! I didn't see this last year and I have follwed th menus from last year as I printed them.
Just another cost saving :teacher:

Off site dining is looking better and better--with all the money I save I can add four nights at US/IOA!

Where can I find the menus that have what is on the DDP.

Harmoinca is only played if you are tier 1, deluxe performances only. :)

Seriously, Disney is really showing their greedy side. They are increasing prices everywhere they can. Rooms, tickets, food, DVC. I expect that they will continue to cut back on the menu choices for 2008. As long as attendance is up and DDP remains popular they will continue to make cuts and increase prices. I guess 1.1 billion in profit wasn't enough. :sad2:
