Do you put Mayo on your sandwich?
If yes - how much?
(Multiple choice)

For Me……Lightly and on the top piece of bread only.

I’ll usually skip the mayo, but when I have it, it’s a very light amount on the top bread.

I don't make a lot of sandwiches at home but when I do, light amount. As for top or bottom, I think bottom.

Light amount, top of bread only. Rarely get sandwiches out, at home it’s light mayo.

Depends on what type of sandwich. Light mayo on something like a cold turkey, medium mayo in a tuna fish, and lots of mayo on a burger king chicken sandwich.

A light amount of Mayo on turkey, or on a sandwich with a bunch of different meats (like an Italian sub, which would also get a little oil).

A light amount of mustard on ham or salami.

A medium amount of horseradish on roast beef.

Moderate, usually the top slice, but depends on the sandwich construction. Always Hellman's.

Totally depends on the sandwich though - tuna, roast beef, turkey, BLT, yes. Ham, lebanon bologna, salami, corned beef, never ever yuck!

Moderate amount of mayo on sandwiches.

Miracle Whip is another story. Very soon I’ll be able to make a local fresh tomato sandwich with globs of Miracle Whip and freshly ground black pepper. Yum.

I overheard a woman at a cheesesteak place order one “with extra mayonnaise, please.” :scared1:

Oh, I totally forgot about the wonders of a summertime tomato sandwich on soft white bread with tons of Hellmans, salt and pepper.... Need to get to the local farm market this week.

My DH refuses to eat mayo. The funny thing is, when I call it aioli, he eats it... especially if it's a garlic aioli or a truffle aioli.

He also loves my homemade Caesar dressing. It's basically mayo with seasonings since it's made with eggs and oil.

I feel a rant coming on. I absolutely cannot stand it when some one tells me what I should or should not put on my sandwich. Mustard, Mayo, Ketchup, butter, relish, whatever - it is my decision no one else's. Being from Chicago land area it seems there are those who think it a crime to put Ketchup on hot dogs--give me a break. I know this has nothing to do with the title of this thread, but I had to say it. Ok, rant over.

on the sandwiches I use it on I use a moderate amount. I love mayo on a sandwich. It has to be Best Foods though, no subs for that.
Bottom of bread, then add whatever else is going on.
Since turkey is my main meat of choice at home, I use it often and buy the Costco size jars

No mayo at home
Yes to Miracle Whip, a smear on one slice of bread only
I can eat a sandwich w/ mayo but prefer not to

to the above poster, I add condiments to all kinds of things, without apology. Ketchup goes on my hotdogs!!!

My mother once made a chocolate cake with mayonnaise, but made the fatal mistake of telling my father about the ingredients.

“I’m not eating that (crap)!!” He used a worse word.

What did he think mayo is? Mostly oil and eggs, standard ingredients in many cakes.

We had Mayonaisse Cake a lot as a kid. It was popular......very moist.
