Taking a multivitamin is something many of us have in common, and if you don’t take one, you should consider starting to take one - they are good for you. The one thing we won’t all have in common is the type of multivitamin we all take. There’s men one’s, women one’s, over 50 one’s and etc. The ones we are focusing on today are gummy ones and pill ones - which one is better? Is one better? Here’s some info….

If you don’t take a multivitamin, hopefully this info helps you decide which one is better for you. Now that we do have some info, tell us today……

Do you take a multivitamin?
If yes…..is it a gummy or pill?
Do you take this vitamin every day?
(multiple choice)

For Me……Yes, I do take a multivitamin everyday and it’s a pill. I take a women’s vitamin for 50+ years old (the first time I bought those it was a real dose of reality that I’m not young anymore - LOL!). I have taken a gummy in the past, but they aren’t for me. I take my vitamins after breakfast and after I brush my teeth. Chewing a gummy vitamin after brushing my teeth wasn’t good, so I tried chewing it before I brushed my teeth, but that wasn’t good either, because it seemed liked I brushed a lot out of my teeth. I definitely decided the gummy’s were a one and done for me. After I finished the bottle I never bought another one.

Sadly I can’t take those - I have an auto immune disease that makes it more certain things irritated and multivitamins happen to be one of them so I can’t take a multivitamin in certain vitamins I gotta watch because often times they will put flavoring in the vitamins or other things in them that will set off my auto immune disease - I do take lots of different vitamins but it’s really cumbersome finding them without any types of flavorings or other things added to them so that I can take them and I gotta watch what I take so I don’t set off my auto immune disease
And tries splitting them up so so am I taking in the morning and so am I taking in the evening so I’m not taking so many pills all at once but like calcium I take that morning and night because I just can’t get enough of that and I’ve been taking calcium for decades but you couldn’t tell that by looking at my bones cause I think my body must reject it 🤣🤣🤣 I’m about one step away from getting those shots because my bones are so bad
I’m much preferred to take a pill then do a gummy

I have trouble swallowing pills, and pill vitamins make me very nauseous. I take a women’s gummy vitamin daily. I get the ones with natural flavor and color, and minimal sweetener. It doesn’t need to taste like candy. I just need to be able to get it down and keep it down.

In the days before gummies were popular, I used to get those prepackaged daily dosages that had a half dozen or so pills in the pack. Those didn’t make me quite as nauseous as one large multivitamin, but swallowing all those pills was torture.

No routine multi-vitamin for me either. I could take it, but it likely wouldn’t help. I have severe IBS that leads to chronic malabsorption of nutrients so I’m on several targeted supplements including B12 shots and was unfortunately at the hospital twice last week needing hydration and potassium bombs. :( My latest bone density scan came back alarming; I’m now at grade 1 osteoporosis and am taking huge quantities of calcium but can’t take oral magnesium because it irritates the IBS symptoms. I’m thinking hard about starting infusions - you can get a comprehensive vitamin/mineral one called a Myers Cocktail. But it’s not covered by either public health care or my insurance so adequate dosing would cost about $400/month OOP. That’s a lot.

love my health candy. My daughter and family eat the gummies way more reliably than pills. I take: Multi... Magnesium... Vit D... and Vit C ... all in gummy. Why not have it taste good. Pills are filled with fillers and binding agents. The vitamin C gummies from Aldi are especially tasty, like the orange slices.

I take gummy women 50+ one. Prior to this i was taking an immune health one to try to keep from getting sick when last 2 winters I was sick with 3 long things and felt like whole winter i was sick. But my DR said I am low iron and calcium so now I am trying the women 50+.

About 5-years ago my doctor told me to flat out stop taking them… said they have almost zero value and may actually have negative impact on gut health. Haven’t taken one since with absolutely no noticeable changes. I do take specific supplements like Vitamin C, Fish Oil, probiotic

I take a multivitamin every day.
I take a pill.
I've done research that shows gummies are not as good and don't hold together long enough to absorb.
I'm not a fan of the fact that most contain way more amounts than you actually need. Like 1,200% of your daily value of B12 like ***???

I also like a squeeze pouch snack that's called "gutzy". It contains quite a few vitamins and they are maxed at 100% of your daily value.

No on multivitamins for me. I make an effort through my diet to eat healthy and get essential vitamins and nutrients through my food choices. Unless I have a proven deficiency, which has been the case shown on blood tests during phases of my life, I won’t take any supplements.
