The decor is out, but no tree this year. We set-up the tree, but the cats could not stay out of it(this is their first Christmas here.) But there is plenty of Disney themed decor so we're good.:)

Christmas tree is up with our "meaningful" ornaments. I will add the generic filler ones soon. All my Christmas scented candles have been lit almost daily. I put up my door signs and porch decoration, and just did my little lights that decorate the banisters on the front porch. That's about all I do so it looks like I'm done

Growing up my mother kept the decor up until the Epiphany. I did the same as a young adult, but gradually stopped doing so.

Now it really depends on when New Years Day falls. Maybe I’ll start taking stuff down on Monday January 2 since I’ll be off from work. Or maybe the following weekend, January 7 & 8.
I always wanted to extend the season as long as possible growing up. Then I moved to New Orleans, which is a heavily Catholic city, and learned about Twelfth Night. Now I couldn't take stuff down sooner if I wanted to, since the city picks up the live trees and recycles them to help rebuild the wetlands. And that doesn't happen until the first regular trash day after the Epiphany. Works for me!

Was planning to go out today to get our tree, but it's raining so we'll wait until tomorrow. Another adventure with 2 cats in the house, but they've been good about leaving it alone in the past.

Sending you luck for finding a good one! We got ours last week, and there were only a handful of trees over 7 feet left on the lot. Apparently there's a national shortage of tall trees this year.

This past weekend we put up outside lights/decorations, and picked out our real Christmas tree. The tree is in the backyard in a bucket of water, and we might bring it in this weekend, but probably not until the 17th/18th. I also follow the tradition of leaving it up until Epiphany. When I was growing up, my family always put up and decorated the tree on Christmas Eve.

DH is actually getting the (artificial) tree out now to put up and decorate today. We do have one small one up already.

Fill the bucket with Sprite if you want it to last longer. We got the tip years ago from a florist regarding roses, and it worked brilliantly so we decided to try it on the Christmas tree that year. Been using it ever since. The sugar provides nutrients, while the fizz encourages the tree to drink. We normally have ours up for over a month, and it feels just about as fresh when we take it out as it does the day we bring it home.

The rule in our house is no Christmas decorations until after Pearl Harbor Day...which is today. So everything will start going up tomorrow. And everything stays up until the Epiphany on January 6th. That would be what I consider to be the historic Christmas season, not the commercial one when stuff goes up well before Thanksgiving, and goes down on December 26th.

Ours has been up and decorated for just over a week. I don’t take it down until after New Years. I love when my house is decorated for Christmas.

We put everything up (including outside decorations) the week of Thanksgiving. We were a little ahead of schedule for us, but we're going away for the week before Christmas this year, so we wanted to get stuff up early.

We celebrate both holidays but with a dog do not have many decorations out. We keep our fake tree up year round in our bedroom where she can’t get it.
I hung our stockings already. We won’t take the Menorah out until Chanukah begins. We have some dreidels and other items out on certain shelves all of the time. Once I started working from home decorations for all holidays I had at the office are spread all around the spare bedroom I use as my office.

I put up the tree and decorated the house Thanksgiving weekend, which is a bit earlier than usual. Usually it goes up the first weekend in December, but the three of us now living there and missing my cousin and her three-year-old who have moved out, all decided we wanted some color and happy things around us for when he's not there (we still have him when my EMT cousin works).

It's 'my' tree with all of my ornaments from when I was a child up to my Disney ornaments. My aunt is gracious enough to allow me to put it up in the living room every year. She has 'her' tree down in our basement pub all year 'round with her Irish ornaments on it.

We have 7 trees - one in our living room, one in our family room, one in our kitchen, one in each bedroom, & a small one in our foyer. All have lights, ribbons, & ornaments, except the one in our bedroom which just has lights.

The trees were up & decorated the week before Thanksgiving, & all the other inside Christmas decorations were put out the Saturday after Thanksgiving. (All the fall & Thanksgiving decorations were put away the Friday after Thanksgiving.)

DH & older son finished putting out the outside decorations in our front yard & on the front porch & on the front of the house the week after Thanksgiving.

The only thing that hasn’t been decorated yet is our back deck which, hopefully, will be done by this weekend.

All the Christmas decorations usually come down, depending on the year, sometime between January 2nd & January 6th or in the days right after 1/6. Our daughter’s birthday is 1/5, the 11th day of Christmas, so, some years, the decorations are down before her birthday &, some years, I don’t start taking down the decorations until after 1/6.

We don't spend Christmas at home so no decorating here. Last year I put up the tree by myself which takes hours to fluff and decorate and then none of our sons (all grown) even came home. We met them out on Christmas eve and New Year's Eve so I'm skipping the tree altogether this year.

I can't imagine the time involved in putting up multiple trees much less SEVEN!!! Wowza.
