9 to 10 hours most nights now that I am retired.
6 was the norm on a GOOD night when I was working.
My wife made it through the first month of retirement without using an alarm clock. Now most mornings she sets an alarm for 630 am to do exercises, I usually stay in bed until 8 am.

I count myself blessed to be a "good sleeper"; I fall asleep easily practically anywhere and sleep very soundly most nights. On the down-side; my internal clock is carved in stone. I'm a 12:00 am to 6:00 am sleeper. Staying up later is hard and sleeping in longer is basically impossible. I do think I'd do better with another hour or two per night but I make up the deficits with weekend naps - I can easily nap 3 or 4 hours if I have the chance.
