I have Sam's and BJs memberships. Only because Sam's was pay $45 get a $45 gift card and BJs just $25. I buy gift cards and that is about it. Costco is too far.

My parents are BJs fanatics. They shopped every day during the pandemic to have something to do. Lol.

Costco only as we don’t have Sams here. I just bought two new tyres and two Titan insulated backpacks from Costco. Getting ready for ☀️.

Just an FYI they posted on Facebook that they are getting rid of senior hours starting 4/18/22.

oh well, it lasted so much longer than any other place I shop at
Been a member of Costco when only business were only let in because my parents owned one. So 80’s I think.

Yep, we joined through DH's work place in 1985.

I'll add, Sam's Club self checkout is easier.

In the times I have been to Costco with friends/relatives who had a membership it seemed they give you the impression you are saving money when buying enormous quantities of things. What matters is the unit price. If Costco sells a 10 roll package of paper towels for $10 and the local grocery store sells the same brand at $2 for a 2-pack, you aren't really saving. If you know your unit prices, perhaps you might find some things which cost less. If you buy 1 lb of garlic powder and it goes stale before you use it up, regardless of the price then you really haven't saved anything.

We’ve had a Sam’s Club membership for several years now. We’ve never been to a Costco. The closest one is about an hour away. Sam’s Club is about 15 minutes away.

We used to have a Costco membership, as we don’t have a Sam’s near us. I shopped at Costco when the kids were still at home and it made sense to have bulk items. They have flown the coop and I don’t enjoy battling the Costco parking, lines and just all the around surly people I encounter there.

Several years ago I had a Sams Club membership. On some deal site, I found a way you could get some kind of major discount to where it only cost just a few dollars. I did NOT renew it after that first year however. It was because I only ended up going in there a handful of times in that year. It wasn't a bad place, but I just could not find enough stuff there to justify paying a membership to shop there.

As far as Costco goes, I have never been in there. It might be good, but I just don't want to pay a another membership to shop somewhere....already doing that with Amazon.

I don't know which is better. There's a Costco in my town. I could walk there. There aren't any Sam's nearby, so I've belonged to the Costco for the last 9 years.

Loyal Costco member here. Not only for the in-store products, but travel and car rental. I get most of my meat there. Decent gas prices. Now we have moved to VA they have beer & wine here! Also like them because of their employee health care benefits for even part-time workers.

Have a Sam's membership only because of one thing DH gets online from them. I don't even know if there is a Sam's in the area.

I definitely prefer Sam’s Club. The closest one is 40 min away though. We have a Costco in our town, so I have a membership there instead.

I love Costco. I don't have a membership myself, I tag along with my mom when she goes.

I don't know if we even have a Sam's Club in the area. We do have a BJ's, which I think my mom also has a membership to. I haven't been there in ages.

In my area, they are within a couple of blocks from each other, and I use both. My Sam's membership gives me free home delivery which is a nice feature. One thing I don't like about Costco is that if I order for home delivery, not only is there a delivery fee unless you spend a certain amount, but they raise the prices of the items from the instore prices.

Sam's for the Disney Cards. We will more than likely switch back to Costco soon because of the gas.

i miss sam's clubs SO MUCH! none around us. i miss the meatball subs and made to order take and bake pizzas (the breakfast and dessert ones were great!). mid pandemic i did a mail order only bj's membership b/c they were the only source for some shelf stable items we needed-for $10/1 year membership it was a decent deal but now i can find those items back at costco. i like costco's frozen food mail order b/c there are a few items that i can't get the specific brand at any of our regional costcos but i can through mail order.

This is the first year we've had memberships at both. added Sam's this year. We much prefer Costco, but have started adding some trips to Sam's. well, DH has. He does all the shopping. I might go like once/year. Costco has some regular products, snacks, prepared food we seek out and prefer. Fortunately, both are pretty convenient, and not far from each other.

Neither. I’m a very satisfied BJ’s shopper and have had a membership there for many years. I’ve been to Costco a few times, and I’m sure it’s fine, but have no reason to switch or to keep two memberships. There are actually three BJ’s locations closer to me than the nearest Costco. No Sam’s Club around here, and I’m not a fan of Walmart.

Only been to Costco. There are certain things I like to buy there because they are much cheaper but not enough to warrant the $60 membership fee.

This is very true . There are things there I say you can get it cheaper somewhere else.
We also don’t have B.J.’s here in Canada
