I have been pretty vocal with "I HATE driving to O'Hare". ! So much so, that a few years ago I flat out refused to drive my husband there anymore, LOL. Me: Sorry we live 35 to 40 minutes from Mitchell (MKE) and I don't care that you found a $39 Frontier flight at 4:30 am out of O'Hare.
Yet just 2 weeks ago I drove my sister there and picked her up a week later.... on a FRI... arriving at 5:30pm. not fun

I expect my husband to drive me to MKE and pick me up. I don't mind drving anyone to MKE or picking them up. It's CHICAGO that I hate.

hmmm.. well... if it wasn't for the sonic fast food next door to the Yuma airport I would not participate in the number 3 reason folks live/winter here... but I will not travel the 3 hours across the horrid desert to the mess of a airport Phoenix....

Phoenix is #2 of airports I hated driving to for pick ups or drop offs. We had a condo for 8 years and many times my husband and I arrived and left on different days. We had friends near us in Sun City that helped us out many times but I preferred using the Shuttle Vans. Phoenix traffic is comparable to Chicago, a nightmare!

Thank you thank you thank you you are forever on my bulletin board so I can tell folks...get a shuttle!!!... when did you move out.... I was spoiled by PDX Oregon.. but that has now back ups to the terminal

all the time. Preference is the Manchester airport which is 20 minutes from me but if I really love the person I will drive down to Boston which is an hour.

Yep, frequently. DH has been going on 4-5 scuba trips a year. It’s nice when he can fly out of DCA which is only 10 minutes away, especially as he often leaves early and comes back toward midnight. Dulles is a much longer drive, but it is unusual he would fly from there. He does have an upcoming trip out of BWI because the flights are better, that 6 AM flight will not be fun for me! At least we will avoid the worst of the traffic.

When I travel solo while he is gone I usually take the metro to DCA, sometimes Uber or Lyft if I have more luggage. Have a solo trip out of Dulles in the fall, debating on taking metro with a connection or paying $50 to ride share.

Sure, plenty & plenty of times. Then the kids got to driving age and they got tasked with that chore when they weren't the ones needing picked up or dropped off! Now they have moved out and somewhat away, so we are back on the pickup/drop off list! Mostly it's when my folks come into and out of town.

No - I’ve never dropped anyone off or picked up anyone from the airport

I am going to blame it on the fact that I made this poll with very little sleep. So for all you that have never dropped off or picked up at the airport, I am sorry

I have dropped off and picked up many times over the years. DH used to travel a lot of business.

Last time I did both drop off and pickup was for Dd when she flew to a friend's wedding last summer.

I have been dropped off and picked up also.

If you fly into / out of LGB or SNA I am happy to give you a ride. If you fly into / out of LAX you are on your own.

I voted "other" and "in the last six months" because we dropped DS at the Logan Express earlier this year - I liked not having to drive all the way into the city, and he said the bus was great!

Yes, I’ve driven family, friends, colleagues, etc. to the airport and picked them up. They’ve done the same for me.

DD drove DH and I to the airport in early March.

I picked up other DD right after Christmas.

It is usually faster to take the train from SeaTac so we rarely pickup people at the airport. You can wait in a 30 to 45 minutes backup on Sunday nights to go the last mile to the airport. Way faster to take public transportation.

We've driven people and picked up people at the airport from time to time. And have had others take us to the airport. More often, we just park offsite and shuttle over. I never park at the airport anymore.
