I voted 4, but might be more. I love it. Kids love it. I just don’t like cutting it all up.
Thank you for the Thank You DanNo whole watermelons here. Marie does buy the cut up ones as prior posters mentioned. Generally the 3 for $12, usually watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple. More costly, I'm sure, but more variety, less waste and ready to eat. Voted other.
Thanks for another great, creative week of @slo polls, Sandy. Enjoy the weekend as the days are counting down until Katie (@piglet1805) heads back to school.
I get this - I don’t like cutting it up too.I voted 4, but might be more. I love it. Kids love it. I just don’t like cutting it all up.
I love watermelon. We buy one at least every other week. They’re not as expensive here as they are in @slo area. I don’t think I’ve paid more than $6 for one not on sale.
I usually feel like the only person in the world who doesn't like watermelon. Glad to see there's someone else!Bought one for my daughter as she requested it.
Personally, I do not like watermelon at all! YUCK!
Like I posted, the season technically hasn't started yet. At least if you want a locally grown one. The first story I covered when I got into TV news in September 1977 was the start of the watermelon harvest season. Of course in many parts of the nation you can get watermelons year round from Mexico.Whoever answered none needs to go out and buy some watermelon quick before the season is over! Unless of course you're allergic, then stay away!
The best part about watermelon is having too much and using it to make watermelon sorbet. SO GOOD!

That really is my point. Too soon for the tasty watermelons.I'm in Virginia. Our local watermelon season started here about 2 weeks ago. Before that, they were pulling them up from the south. In fact, from my grocery store today (not the farmer's markets) they are coming in from Georgia. The ones at the farmer's market are Virginia.
Of course we do get them year round here, but for some reason during the winter, whatever comes up from Mexico or Peru--well they just don't taste good at all.
My point was it's not too soon "here." It's JUST right. That really is my point. Too soon for the tasty watermelons.
