I love the casino! I go a couple of times a month because the nearest one is an hour away. I'd go more if it was closer. I also love Vegas as a quick getaway.

I've built up comps over the years and can now get free hotel rooms pretty much anytime I want at the 2 closest ones as well as $20-50 in meal credits per day. It's a nice little one or two night getaway with the girls. We usually stay at the pool during the day and gamble at night. I've also seen some good concerts with comped tickets, the latest being Benson Boone. I do usually come out ahead even if it's just a hundred dollars. I'm careful with how I play and only bring what I'm willing to lose.

Here are two pics of my big wins last month:

Wow. You are lucky. Those deals went away here. My mom used to take advantage of all those.

I've been to Las Vegas once and that was my first/last time at a casino. We played slots there. Table games confuse/intimidate me so not sure I would ever play those. We lost about $100 while there, it was worth the fun and free drinks lol

That's weird. I also get free play at the two closest casinos and it's usually at least $50/week. That's why I wish we had one closer, I'd use the free play and free meal credits every week!

So wife is the high roller and here in Yuma she gets the free play and weekly gifts which cost $600.00 in play...125 points .a point equals 5.00 played.. and the typical machine will pay out $250.00 by the time your Benny is gone.. and the gift 🎁 🎁 🎁 20.00 to $35.00 in value... the folks (our landlord) who drop 1 to 2 grand get $80.00 food vouchers and hotel free and concert tickets and if there wins are huge...a winner banquet

Not a big gambler, but enjoy it once in a while. Have been to numerous casinos over the years, in CT, Atlantic City, Vegas, and a few other places. I consider gaming as a form of entertainment, just like attending a concert or sporting event. I set a budget of $$ and time, quit when either is used up, and if I end up with more money than I started with, consider it a good day.

I like poker slots, because they require some skill and take more time. DH sometimes also plays craps or low limit blackjack. I will say that winning slots was more satisfying in the old days, before paper tickets and player’s cards, when you walked around with a cupful of coins, and felt a rush from the clatter of them dropping into the metal tray when you won a jackpot.

That's why my mom tried Indian casinos and gave up because there were no incentives.

We have 2 casinos near me. I go to both frequently but never gamble. I go to Mohegan sun for restaurants and to see music. I go to Foxwoods for the outlet mall and Juniors Cheesecake.

The casinos are always hoping but I never see anyone gambling. Last time I was there I cut through a room to use the bathroom and there was one person gambling at one table and no one at slots. It was just one room but that seems very common when I go.

I only go to play slots, and this is very rarely. I found my gambling money lasts longer when I play the lottery.

I don't feel like I've really been to a casino - just "through" a small one when I was too young to play. I might like it very briefly, but think I would get overwhelmed pretty quickly.

CT casinos are run by Native Americans. They make a big donation yearly to the state and the state approved it.

They are both smoke free. I’m curious if casinos in other states allow smoking.

Last I was there, smoking still in the casino itself, the gambling area. And you have to walk through the casinos to get anywhere in the hotels, Awful! It seemed like everybody who smoked in the country went to Las Vegas to gamble, and smoke.

My husband and I enjoy going to casinos, usually a couple of times a year. We don’t spend more than we can afford to lose. The one closest to us has nice restaurants to choose from and has a great concert venue and we’ve been to several concerts there over the years.

The one positive outcome of COVID-19...we have 3 in Yuma and 2 went to non smoking and they are still busy.. the 3rd casino allows smoking as their draw of folks because it needs all the help it can to draw folks.. very impossible casino to stay even... their machines not programmed to o long play and small building and not resort design at all

I've never been to one but I've considered it. Not sure when or if I'll ever take part in gambling though.

The two nearest to me, Winstar and Choctaw Durant, both have smoke free areas. At Choctaw they built a new hotel tower with a casino attached and it is all smoke free. You can walk into the smoking side from the smoke free side but I guess the smoke sucking ventilators are pretty good because I never smell smoke even standing at the "line" between the two parts. When we stay on the smoke free side we call it "going to the dark side" when we leave the area. The carpet even changes patterns as you leave smoke free lol.
