Nutsy, good to see you. What happened to the poor pooch?

It all started with heat stress, followed by a fall off the garden wall. ( He was on the verge of a stroke)

Anyway, due to the fall,he hurt his left hind leg and could not put any weight on it..........he had a hard swollen lump on it that was very painful........so off to the vet and come home with one bandaged leg and antibiotics and painkillers.........he still could not walk tho.............fast forward to Thurs night, when we discovered a smilar lump on his right foreleg......off the vet again Friday morning and had to leave him there for the day so she could x-ray his legs. End result.......he has a degenerative bone disease and now has 2 legs bandaged.......still can't exaclty walk....still on painkillers and once the bandages come off he is to start on a series of injections once a week for a month which should help him a bit.

Long term prognosis is not too good...........it will get worse as he gets older, but we need to try to keep him exercising. The bones in his feet are not even straight and bits have broken off already. So, all our time and money is going into him right now. Carrying him everywhere, syringing water into him as he can't stand to drink etc.

He will be 11 in May and I really would like him to be around another couple of years if possible.

I have to say, I do wish I was able to participate in this exchange as I really love these thong slippers. Never seen anything like them before and love the idea of the thong.......no slipping and sliding all over the place

These were from the avon website. They have some at JCPenney that are new for Spring. Not exactly the same but a very similiar thong style. They have alot of colors and were on sale for $11.99 last week. Not sure if they still are but I want a pair too.

You know, last spring I bought a pair as I love wering flip-flops and thought they would be the same concept, well forget it I couldn't walk in them.

Avon here don't have them and we don't have any JC Penny here either........I just have to dream........
