Oh, and never make the mistake of matching jammies! You can't remember who was fed in the middle of the night. We also made the mistake of not having a set crib once they slept apart, and it was very confusing at 3 am.

So true!!
A nurse told me to get a notebook and write down every time each twin ate and also what time I took my pain meds... I had rubber bracelets that I would switch from wrist to wrist so I could remember who ate on what side last, but that didn't work because I forgot to switch the bracelets! I later put the feeding lists in their scrapbooks.
Honestly, you won't remember anything from the first 6 months, at least I don't! And don't feel bad about it!
Some of the best advice I got from another mom of twins (hers were teens) was this...
"It doesn't get easier, it just gets different." At the time I didn't appreciate it but there are many times I have thought it was SOOOO true!
1 cousin has identical twin girs they was 4 or 5 when I was at his house early 1 morning before both the twins was awake he thought twin A was up wife thought twin B was up cousin went woke sleeping twin an asked her who she was lol
Cousin was told no way ever would she ever ever have a baby at 48 she had healthy twins...
Another cousin had couple of kids when she married 2nd time new man had 3 so they thought family was complete she went had tubal.....couple yrs later she became preggers, then a few weeks later found out it was twins, few months later found out they was not identical by any means one a boy an one a girl...not only did one egg get thru but 2......
There was a family up the road from me when I was a kid had 7 kids in 5 yrs and 5 of them was in my class 2 sets of twins an a single kids born so close together the 1st set of twins an 2nd set in same class in school ....they all had an eye problem an needed surgeries an missed school ended up being held back an the single started school that yr putting alll 5 in same class.....all had red hair blue eyes an dressed alike an switched classes thru out the day by what was being taught next 1 liked math an did really well in math another english another science etc they did the class or teache they liked best most of the time most of us kids knew but the teachers never caught on...
Deesknee-
Every time I see one of your posts I think " awww, those are the cutest pictures"... and such an interesting family! Your children are absolutely darling!
I do not have twins but my fave thing ever with my last child was the Itzbeen timer. With the touch of a button, it would set the timer from the last feeding, diaper change, nap and a "bonus" timer as well as a little thing at the bottom to mark last side nursed on (for nursing moms). There was also a little light that went on for the night time. Great invention
