update update !!!!
This has become rather funny.... falling the bouncing DVD.
Ok... so last week was when I called and asked them if they had mailed it or couriered it. I said, on the phone, if you mailed it I'll just wait a little while longer for the DVD because mail will usually take about 2 weeks or so.
ABD said, "Oh, we usually UPS it. We'll find you your tracking #." So I guess when they didn't find a tracking #, they decided to send me the DVD last Thursday ... the UPS without the commercial invoice.
Well, I just got home and in the mailbox were ... 2 DVDs (one for my parents). They were mailed (U.S Postal service) ... wait for it ... 2 weeks ago.
So... I just got off the phone with ABD and told them not to Fed Ex me another DVD and we both had a great time laughing about what had happened. I also told them that MAILING it to Canada was the way to go. Forget the courier....couriers are nothing but trouble when it comes to shipments up here. I told her ... mail is the best ... it'll take a little longer but it gets here ...
So ... kudos to the U.S. and Canadian Postal Services!!! And btw, it was declared for $18 and Customs did not stop it at all. If it had been couriered, customs would have wanted its pound of flesh.
So thus ends my DVD's journey. I'm gonna pop it into the computer now and watch. Thanks to all that helped (Kevin, all the ABD people including the one that found me on Facebook just to let me know they're looking into it for me.)
