Sleeping Beauty?

Is there a new Sleeping Beauty movie or something coming out? I have noticed MANY more Sleeping Beauty themed items in stores--also a bunch of Prince Philip things--even at the party stores. She is DD's favorite, so I was just wondering. Thanks!

I believe it's coming out next month. A re-release for the Platinum edition.

I think it is just being re-released.

I just googled it and it is coming out on Oct. 7th - for its 50th anniversary. It has a never before seen alternate opening and it's the first Disney animated classic available on Blu-Ray.

Good to know - my 17 year old DD is a Sleeping Beauty head. I'll be looking for the re-release for her for Christmas

I've heard the Blue Ray will be exceptional.

Too bad we're still using a standard set and DVD player.

It's a special DVD player but the Playstation 3 also plays blue ray DVD's. We have Meet the Robinson's on blue ray and it's awesome! We are starting to buy all DVD's in blue ray. They look so much better.

It's Bluray, and it's basically a superior hi definition player. We have the Lost Bluray set and it is gorgeous! I am really looking forward to seeing Sleeping Beauty on Bluray. Cars and Ratatouille look amazing!

Then they're just sort of like DVD Deluxe, then? All I'd need is a new DVD player. Hmmmm...This Sleeping Beauty DVD is getting costlier and costlier!!!
