Definitely worth it, in my mind.
The rooms have hairdryers and mini-bars, which some find nice, but the BIG advantage is being in the main building, so you can just nip down to breakfast, without coats (and hats and scarves in colder weather!) and don't have your coat on the back of your chair during brekkie. In the evening you can relax in ther Redwood Bar in the knowledge that you only have to tiptoe upstairs to go to bed, instead of struggling back outside to the Lodge.
