My husband is going to have to do a lot of flying the next few weeks. We are new to Delta Skymiles and major flying. How many of these miles would you need for 1 ticket to say ...... Disneyland from Georgia??????

Look on the website. Domestic tickets are either 20K or 25K miles.

25K......My hubby flies to New Mexico---each trip gets him in the neighborhood of 4000 miles RT. I flew to Hawaii and that was only 6000 miles.

I say only---b/c these flights are from Orlando----So he'd need 5 or 6 RT's to New Mexico to get close to a free ticket.

Good luck though!!! Seems to build at a snail's pace and then poof---there's your free ticket.

I think a domestic coach ticket is 25k miles. Thats for a sky saver seat... a sky choice seat is 50k miles...

And don't forget that the seats are few and far between when using miles!! It has taken us about 4-5 trips to WDW to be able to use my hubbys (now he has almost enough miles for another trip) Next trip, hopefully I can use mine. I have had someone tell me they only block out 2-4 seats for freq flyer miles..so they go quick. We had no trouble flying to Acuploco with them back in 2001, though.

kramer, i've seen your avatar and picture before. do you belong to another forum?

to answer OP's question, it's 25k for skysaver and 50k for skychoice.

Also, sometimes you don't have a choice between SkySaver and SkyChoice -- SkySaver award seats are hard to come by on popular routes.

And before you ever book a SkyChoice, try booking a First Class ticket. I recently had a case where all that was avaialbe was SkyChoice at 50,000 miles. Tried booking First Class and got a SkySaver at 45,000 miles in first class for the flights I wanted.

We just did this for Spring Break 2006. We could have gotten Skysaver for 25,000 miles but we decided to splurge and for another 20,000 we are going first class from Portland to Atlanta and Atlanta to Savannah (Hilton Head). We would NEVER spend the money on FC so why not use the miles and see how the other half lives! ;)

No, the DIS is the only forum I belong to. I used to be on a TV show, though. Perhaps you remember me from there?
