Skyliner operating hours

Ughh - I hoped we could go straight to HS. I'd rather do the boat or walk before going to CBR.
:confused3 Okay, then you should walk or take the boat. Or the bus to the front of Epcot. Specifically because three different ways exist to travel directly between the two parks, clearly Disney saw no sense in a fourth, direct mode of travel.

At 25-30 minutes, the Skyliner should be faster than the boat all the way from IG to DHS, but you might beat it walking or catching the boat at YC.

I can't wait till this opens and people start timing which is quicker between Epcot and DHS, Skyliner or boat.

And I'm eager to know the hours of operation, too, even though my trip isn't until February. Like the PP, I'm not "worried." I just want to know if I could make it from POP to IG early enough to try for a PPO breakfast at Cape May. That's the kind of stuff I do for fun while waiting for the trip.

IMO the skyliner would have clearly been a nice option too - I thought it would go from CBR / HS / EPCOT and then reverse because it stops at all three locations. We are staying at BC and I looking at our options for riding it.

We actually don't mind the boat or walking. I'm curious to see how the traffic flow changes and it does look very cool.

If the boat isn't at the dock or just arriving when you arrive then it is likely to be the slowest way from Epcot International Gateway to Hollywood Studios. But worse than that is your haviong to wait for the next boat because the one you thought you would be on is too full.

The reason behind the chosen route is to maximize capacity between resorts and parks. Guests traveling to Epcot travel in the opposite direction from Guests traveling to DHS. The exception is on the Pop/AoA line, but that includes only Pop/AoA Guests.

Had the decision been made to route the line directly between DHS & Epcot, all Guests from all resorts traveling to both parks would have been traveling between CBR & DHS at the same time, creating a bottleneck. And in the evening, all Guests leaving DHS would have been competing with all Guests arriving from Epcot.

The intent of the the system is to move Guests between resorts and parks, not park to park. And the Epcot Resorts are not among the resorts primarily targeted.

Thanks! Hmm, 5:45 am for a 6 am opening at Studios. That's ok I guess. Will be late for opening.
