Yikes! I’d give serious consideration to moving unless the Skyliner wasn’t a major factor for you. I adore it but RIV is not exactly cheap and with only bus service to parks & DS, transport wise that is almost AKL equivalent

I appreciate it. I'm renting DVC points so I don't think I could move and luckily I'm only there the last 2 nights of my stay but I did want to experience the Skyliner from there. I'll survive. This is probably my last WDW trip for many years so it was kind of a bummer to hear about this happening during the time I am there. But, my trip has been blessed by starting just a few days after the reservation and park hop restrictions are lifted so, I'll take that as a win.
