Skipping days on admission tickets?

I have a question about admission tickets. How do they work time-wise? If, let's say, we buy a five-day ticket, does that mean we have to use them five days in a row or can we skip a day or two? Let's say we are staying in WDW for seven nights and get a five-day ticket. We don't go on, say, Monday, so we can use our Mickey's Christmas Party ticket. Then we don't go on, say, Thursday to meet with relatives. But we use the tickets the other days of the week.

Assuming that you don't buy the non-expiration feature, the tickets expire 14 days after first use, so you do not have to use a five-day ticket for five straight days.

You have 14 days from the first use to use all of the days, unless you purchase the no-expiration option.

So if you arrive on a Saturday the 1st, and have 5 day tickets, you have until the 14th to use up the 5 days.
