Skincare products

I've been using the Clinique "3 little soaps" forever. For moisturizing, I like the Garnier skin care line. Great wrinkle serum and very effective moisturizer. Not cheap but not too pricey, especially if you know how to coupon at CVS. I also like the Garnier BB cream to protect my face - so much lighter than a regular foundation, I wear it every day.

i had a facial yesterday and my skin looks amazing. I don't use anything on my face but I think I should start. But there are so many products out there to choose from, sO tell me what you use :)

Last year, I started using the Boots Expert Sensitive products from Target (day cream, night cream, eye cream), after washing with Cetaphil. I do use a Clarisonic brush for washing most of the time.

After my first facial, the esthetician gave me a laundry list of Murad products to buy & use. This is the line that they use. She said Cetaphil wasn't the right product to wash with for my skin, so I ended up buying the Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Cleansing Wash to try instead. Couldn't swing the $200 for the Murad stuff.

After the second facial, the esthetician just said to use an exfoliating scrub once a week in addition to what I was already doing. Guess the Boots stuff is ok after all. =)

I've been trying for a number of years to go more natural in my cosmetics... especially lotions and creams.... but I admit it is hard! I want something that WORKS and keeps my skin clear AND helps me age more slowly! So from the collarbone up, I do use some traditional products Olay and Garnier.... but I also use the "SAY YES" line that I get at Target (Say Yes to blueberries night cream, etc) because it is more natural.

Below the collarbone I stick with all natural stuff whenever possible. I found a GREAT new line that I just recommended on another DIS thread.... all-natural, made in the USA by a small company. Sandy Mae's Skin Care (they don't have a website yet, just a Facebook page), but their stuff is made from all natural pronouncable ingredients! Originally created for a woman going through long-term chemotherapy and having some dry, cracking skin issues.... but so far I've used the lotion bars and the detox bath salts and they are so nice! (Gave some to my SIL, my Mom, and my DD for Christmas and they all loved it too!) They smell delicious and I am not concerned that I am adding toxins or poisons or chemicals to my body (your skin is your body's largest organ and as such absorbs so much "stuff"). Next up I am ordering their lip balm. I gave up petroleum based balms (like Chapstick) in favor of more natural balm (like Burt's Bees), but can't wait to try the Sandy Mae's stuff!

Anyhow.... I've tried Murad (thanks Mom!), Olay, L'Oreal, Garnier, etc but I still look my age... I keep half kidding the kids that I am saving for my future facelift instead of my retirement. Anyone have a miracle product that they love?......................P
