Skeeved Out

I think a hard elbow right on the top of her foot might do the trick. Or you could take your sock off and put it on her foot--I wonder how fast she would pull that foot back into her zone.

And the darkening shade? I'm with her on that one. I'm pretty claustrophobia. Just being on a plane sets me off, but if I had to sit there for 30 minutes with the shade down I'd be looney tunes. I'm sure my fellow passengers would rather forgive me for not following the rules than have to experience the meltdown of a 52yo woman.

Had a sock (lucky me) foot make an appearance on my arm rest when I flew recently. Being the fun and crazy mom of four that I am, I did what comes naturally....gave a little tickle to the bottom of the foot. Foot quickly disappeared and didn't make a re-appearance.

Okay, I've got to remember to tickle, sneeze or carry around a sock. I am :rotfl::rotfl2:

After I posted this, I turned to a seatmate and commented about how I'd just posted on a message board about someone's toes on my armrest.

Passive agressive maybe, but the toes disappeared and did not return!

And, yes, I was looking for more evidence of jerkdomme. . .and got them. When we finally got back in the air, her phone stayed on until we were almost in the air. Seat belt unbuckled before the plane finished landing.

But no more toes!

But yeah, next time I'm tickling or sneezing! Love those.

Of course, I'm stuck at a hotel near IAH overnight because I missed the last flight back home. (I SHOULD have been home by 9PM.)

Ah well. My tummy is full of veggie burger and french fries from room service. At least I have a clean shirt for tomorrow. But no clean bra or panties. . .:guilty: I'll just roll a bunch of deodorant on the bra.

Good for you!

Ugh, I'd hate to not have a clean bra or panties. Do you think you could buy cheap ones there in the morning?

Wash out your undies with some shampoo if you have any. Put a bath towel on the floor folded double, put the undies on it, then fold the towel over them again and step around on it for about 5 minutes. This will get out almost all the water from the washing, same as a spin cycle.

Then take the desk chair, roll it directly in front of the vent, hang the undies on the arms, and turn the fan up full blast. They will be dry by morning. (If they are not, you can finish them out with a blow dryer in about 3 minutes.)

:rotfl:
That's exactly what I would have done (mom of 4 here too!).

OP, I hope you got to your destination safe and sound and fungus-free.

You know, passive aggressive isn't nice. So 5 lashes with a wet noodle for you! And also a standing ovation for getting rid of the foot.:yay:

(I think I would have gone for the old elbow crushing the toes move, so your passive aggressiveness was way nicer than my flat out aggressiveness would have been!)

Unfortunately I am a 36DD and my bras have underwires and built in pads. I can't stomp on them. I can't even take the pads out of this bra. (if I could it would get rid of about 80% of my sweat from today!) I rinsed out my panties and have them drying. The bra. . .I will just have to endure it. Luckily my flight is only an hour.

And at least I had the board to laugh with about skeevy toes!

Hope you've arrived home safe & sound. If there's a next time for the foot-on-the-armrest sitch, you could just turn around and offer to let her read the thread about how gross that is. "Wanna see what several dozen people from all over the world think about your feet on my armrest?":3dglasses

I think I would have stood up, picked up my carryon bag and plopped it hard right on her foot.

Hope you made it home safely!!

I would have been grossed out by that too. But I think I would have turned around & asked her to please remove her foot from my armrest. Then if she didn't, I'd ask the flight attendant to tell her to remove it. But I'd bet she'd remove it when I asked. I commute on trains every day, and I've had people's umbrellas poking me, their elbows in my face, etc. 99.99999% of the time when I've asked them to stop whatever, they've stopped.

I think I would have "accidently" spilled something sticky like ginger ale or yogurt on her foot.

Pour 7-up on foot and loudly say " I bless this foot stinky"

I love this response. :thumbsup2

Wow! Heloise, watch out!:laundy: Something tells me you've done this before?:rolleyes1

OP and PPs: :thanks: for a good laugh on an otherwise dreary afternoon:thumbsup2
